Passover photos
Here are some photos from out Passover Seders the last 2 nights. I hope this helps illustrate some of the descriptions in my challenges.

Here's my Seder plate, we actually have 2 but we used this one this year (I like this one better):

and here is the Seder plate with the traditional foods on it:

this is the Matzah cover we used this year (I think it belonged to my parents originally):
Image
and here is a matching afikomen bag which contains the piece of matzo that is hidden. Tradtionally, an afikomen bag wasn't thing, at least  not in my family, my Dad would just wrap the piece of matzah in a napkin before hiding it.

Here is pitcher for ceremonial hand washing. You can use any sort of pitcher or wash at a sink, but I like this one, I got it in Israel last year:
Image
We used this to pour the ceremonial 4 cups of wine. We never used it before but it was fun. Other years we poured directly from the bottle into little silver cups.
Image

the cup on the left in this photo is just a silver kiddish cup and the cup on the right is Elijah's cup (it has his name on it in Hebrew). Elijah doesn't need his name on the cup, he can use any cup, but someone gave this to us as a gift as some point. We have lots of silver kiddish cups, some are newish, some were gifts, and some were inherited. We use different ones each year.

We made 2 types of charoset this year, the chunkier one is apples, wines, cinnamon , and honey and is what I consider traditional because my sister made it using our mom's recipe. The more ground up one is an Italian style that we found in a Passover cookbook and My son Zach made it this year for the first time, and it was really delicious. It had a ground up orange including the peal which gave a unique and delicious flavor. my mother-in-law used to make different charoset recipes every year so trying a new one feels like a family tradition as well.

Usually the first night is the bigger deal but this year we only had 4 of us the first night and 10 people the second night. Here is me with my husband and Zach on the first night
Image
the second night we had a lot of people and had to put 2 tables together
Image
and here is the same table with everyone
Image
the holiday continues for the rest of the week, but we don't have festive dinners each night. We will be eating leftovers for quite a while.

Lovely!  Thanks for sharing all those photos with us!
OCD is not an adjective.  It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized.  It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. 💙 I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son. 💙

A Cherry on Top

Re: Passover photos
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful photos with us. We did Passover every year at my in-law's when they were alive, and I always loved my mother-in-law's charoset. I remember we would open the door for Elijah and one of the adults would sneak a drink from Elijah's cup when the kids weren't looking. After a while they caught on and each year it got harder to do lol. I have her Seder plate and Elijah's cup here now.
