Scrap a Day, March 11th
Hey Cherries. Another sunny day headed for 60 degrees. I love it.  I am about 98% done in my scraproom. I had a setback when I found my black Copic marker had been leaking. I don’t know if any of you have had a Copic leak but it is not pretty. That ink is impossible to get off. It got all over my hands and I couldn’t get it off. And it kept transferring to everything I touched. Good thing I was wearing a “just hanging around the house” t-shirt because it got all over that too. I had to throw out the container I had all my Copics in because the ink was getting on the others. I used alcohol to try and get it off my hands and that didn’t work. I even tried makeup remover to try and get it off. I finally got most of it off using an exfoliating face scrub, but still have some that didn’t come off. What a mess.

Today’s plan is to finish up in there and then I want to play!

Have a great day Cherries.

Hey Cherries 😊 I think we're supposed to hit 70 today! That would be sooo nice! 😊 After work yesterday, I was able to have my door open for a good while and let the place sit out a bit, and it was so nice! ☺️
I'm off today - therapy at 5. I need to do some tidying up and of course, laundry! 😂 I put it off the other day because I didn't want to hang it all up! 😂 (My arthritis was bothering me, but STILL! LOL!) Most of it's not mine, but I do like to help. (Though, dishes may be another story! LOL most of them aren't mine, and I won't do them all when they're so MANY!) 🤷🏻😂
STILL fighting off another cold lol such is the life sometimes! Weather changing and so forth. I've been eating lots of oranges lately so my immune system should have some boost to it!
I've been working on my collage, AND I DID finish this week's art journal sketch challenge and got it posted last night. It JUST feels so good to play around with all these materials, PLUS I used some new goodies and it's been fun!
I ended up getting an extra hour in at work yesterday, and my coworker offered me more hours. (She has two jobs.)
I'm feeling WAY MORE positive lately, Cherries! Y'all have REALLY been a part of that, too! 🍒❤️😊 I'm going to get some craft stuff organized so I can get to work on some thank you cards soon! I don't know how if there's exactly a statue of limitations on thank you cards, though. I have had "late" thank you cards sent to me before, and was always just touched to receive one, so idk lol! (We DID find a book of stamps recently. I remember thinking that I must've been crazy thinking I'd gotten them but not actually buying them! 😂)
Anyway, STAY BLESSED, my Cherry Friends! 🍒❤️😊

Beautiful day here and I got my garden started the morning. Pansies planted out back. Tomato’s started indoors.  Snap peas planted in a pot on the roof. I haven’t done snap peas here before, so we’ll see how they do. I would plant them in the ground at the old house.

playing bridge this afternoon.  I’m playing too much bridge lately and it’s getting in the way of my other hobbies. But at least I get to walk to bridge in the nice weather.

have a great day everyone!

Re: Scrap a Day, March 11th
Good morning cherries. Slow and steady seems to be my motto lately. Doing a tiny bit more each day but at the same time being mindful and listening to my body. I managed to put in about 6 hrs at my office desk yesterday and then by 4pm, moved to the laptop and the recliner for another 2 hrs. But yay for finally being able to work a full day. Took it easy the rest of the evening though, with DH helping me unload the dishwasher and clean up after dinner. Slept much better last night than I have since I've been home (5 weeks today). My alarm went off at 5:30 and like yesterday, shut it off and this round, slept for another hour. Fed the pups and relaxed in my recliner with my coffee. Showered and did a load of laundry. Now I'm getting started on work.

Other than working, I need to pay a couple of bills. Hoping to make enough progress work-wise to do an upgrade tomorrow morning, first thing. We shall see.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good luck with your snap peas, Louise! I don't have a bunch of gardening experience, but my older sister has a gardening channel on YouTube. (Tomatoes, Poppies and Everything Gardening). I've actually learned a LOT!
Have fun at bridge, too! I've actually thought it would be neat to learn and play. I love card games, but don't know them all! LOL!
Have a good day! ☺️

Re: Scrap a Day, March 11th
Back home in my own little bed! And it’s amazing!

We spent the day on the road yesterday. Left a little after 6 am and got back around 12 hours later. The worst part is getting across Seattle to the Interstate in Monday morning rush hour. Good roads all the way, but did see a few snow flurries along the way. And not that much traffic, all things considered.

Was awake for a bit around 4am, but did manage to fall back asleep until after 7 am. Have had so much back and forward with the time clock in the past few days my body is certainly all mixed up!!

Have a pretty busy agenda for today. Need to work on laundry, for sure. And do some cooking for a good friend who was diagnosed with the flu. Nothing her DH brings her is appetizing and he tries to bring her crazy things. Will make hot cross buns. Mac and cheese. And rice pudding. And probably chicken noodle soup.
So I will be busy. Still on the coolish side here, they say a high of 49F for us.

Anyway, it was a fun time away, but happy to be home.

Welcome back Leslee! That Seattle traffic is crazy!!! What a good friend you are making such good things for your sick friend! I’m sure she will enjoy it. We’re still chilly up here too. About the same temps here.

Re: Scrap a Day, March 11th
Sunny with hazy blue skies and a few puffy white clouds.  Light breeze with high in mid 60’s.  Then poof again and winter is back tomorrow and rest of the week. Rain, rain, and rain.  lol

need to clean kitchen and do dishes. Was lazy last night.  Have a package to take to post office today but card to go in it not quite finished.  lol

video chatting with my sister yesterday trying to get a clue what to send for her 81st bday this month.  She finally mentioned she wanted to put in a bed of tulips this year.  She’s a gardener extraordinaire.  Do you know how many types and colors of tulips there are? Finally settled on a mixed color package, some dusty pink, and some deep red. That’s the only thing my sister didn’t like about moving to Oregon when they retired-the growing season is so short there in comparison to California.

have a cheerful Tuesday.

Hey Cherries! We got a tiny bit of snow last night. Winter isn’t done with us yet… Before that we had about 2 1/2 inches of rain in 2 days. And before that almost 4 inches of rain in 3 days. Can you tell I’m DONE with rain??!! But we’re VERY thankful that it hasn’t been snow!!! lol!

Been having good times with Joe and his dad. Greg left this morning. Joe is already being a big help. So nice!

I need to clean up my kitchen. I fell asleep yesterday and the guys made their own dinner. Well they STARTED to… they had a rotisserie chicken and had put pots on to boil. Then they went outside and forgot about them! Thankfully I smelled them and decided to check on them. Good thing! So I mashed them and got them ready, had a bowl full myself and went to sleep. :)

Hoping I can scrap some today too. I want to do ALL of the wonderful challenges this month but I seriously doubt I’ll be able to. There’s so many and they’re so awesome!!!!

Have a great day Cherries!!!

Tulips are my favorite flower!!! Good idea sending her a selection of different colors! She will love it! Our growing season is really short here too. But at least tulips will grow here! I couldn’t even keep them alive in the house in Florida. :(

Have a great day!!!
