After a short very unexpected Hiatus from this challenge, I am back with a super fun calendar for March!
I hope you all find time to play along!
Here is how this Challenge works:
Each day of the month has a "wacky holiday" attached to it. Most of the holidays are WACKY and wild...and some not as much...but ALL are actual holidays.YES, I do my research.
Each month I will post the prompts for that month. Your challenge is to pick a day/holiday that I have added to the calendar and base your layout around that theme. My hopes are that these actual holidays will inspire you to pull out old photos and scrap memories long forgotten, or create new ones and celebrate!There is also a theme for the month shown at the top and/or bottom of the calendar. If you choose the theme of the month, your name will be entered twice in the drawing for a winner.
THE RULES:
~Your layout must be NEW (not posted before March 5)- can be paper or digital and have at least one photo.
~Cards AND other Projects are allowed this month in honor of National Craft Month!! (**They MUST fit the theme you choose)
~The holiday that you choose must be one that is featured on the calendar that I have provided.
~ Post your layout in the gallery and to this thread by The last day of the month at midnight, and please note which day you chose
~You may post as many times as you want, but your name will only go in the drawing once
(unless you get an additional entry for using the monthly theme or OCCASIONAL twist.)
~If you use the theme of the month for the bonus entry, PLEASE put that into your post when you submit.
~To qualify for the bonus entry, I must be able to see the relevance of the layout to the theme.
~You may combine with one other monthly Challenge that allows it.
One randomly chosen Cherry will be chosen for a $5 ACOT GC from me!

For this month ONLY, I am going to change it up a bit.
You can submit ANY card, about, or craft that is NEW, and fits the theme that you choose. You can post as many as you'd like, but I will only count one, and I will only link the one that is counted for challenge purposes.
I have chosen March 26th, Purple Day as my wacky holiday. Here is my layout to support that:
My beautiful Mom is wearing a purple Johnny Was blouse that I had given to her for Mothers' Day last year, and it looked SOOO pretty on her! I could not resist taking this photo. You should have seen in in color!
Anyway, all of my elements support my purple monochromatic theme.

I did not change anything on this, it can straight from the web... but I did validate all of the days/holidays are accurate.
