It's a good Monday here.  The high today is 54 and it's already 48.  What a nice break this week from the bitter cold.

Today is our DGD's induction ceremony for the National Honor Society.  She is very excited and so are we.  It's been a rough few years for their family, but she has persevered through it all, got accepted at the magnet school for high school and now she''ll be in NHS too.  This morning I did picked up flowers that we ordered for her.  Photos will definitely be scrapped!

Now, I need to finish her card!!

Congratulations to your DGD!!! That’s quite a few accomplishments! Enjoy the ceremony! I know you’ll get tons of pictures too!!!

Good morning cherries. Slow going this morning. Didn't really want to get out of bed this morning. Got the pups fed and unloaded the dishwasher. Got cleared to do that starting today. Took me a little while to do it, then moved onto putting some doggie sheets in the washer. I was planning on going on my morning walk, first time since surgery but didn't have the energy. Instead, I showered, made myself a cup of coffee and was resting in my recliner with my laptop. Paid a couple of bills and kind of cleaned out my InBox too. Finally had enough energy to move into my office at 9:30. Hoping to work at least 3/4 of a day here, then, if needed...move back to the recliner. We shall see.

Had a quiet and restful weekend. It was in the 20s/30s all day Saturday with rain, so other than groceries, we just stayed home. Managed to get very well caught up some shows we watch together and DH helped me with laundry. I even went grocery shopping with DH. He didn't let me push the cart and when getting items, he only let me get super light stuff - blueberries, bananas, place order at deli, etc. He didn't let me pick up a jar or the OJ. I then had to let him put everything on the conveyor belt and then just get in the car when he was loading up the car with groceries. Sigh...I'm still learning to be a patient patient.

It is nice to finally see the sun and we will be in the 70s for afternoon highs. We were 40 this morning and already 60! 🌞

Hope everyone has a great day.

Glad you’re continuing to improve and are still taking it easy Brandy! You’re getting stronger and doing well!  And glad your temps are warming up too!!! I’m sure Miss Penny will be happy to not be cold! :)

Well overcast this morning but no rain and upper 60’s today. I don’t run the heater at night but house still only got down to 63 overnight.

I’ve managed to get 4 of the Valentine crop challenges done.  Thinking to just stay home and try get the other 2 finished today.  Maybe wash my hair.  Didn’t finish all the leftovers yet so just heat that up for lunch or dinner.   Hmmm starting to sound like a plan. lol

have a merry Monday.

Charlene, glad your temps have warmed up too! I like the sound of your day! Enjoy!!!

Hey Cherries! It’s a bit warmer here too. Our lowest temp for the next 10 days is 33 but that’s only one day towards the end! Highs will be around 43. SOOOO much better than all that freezing!!!

One of the chicks that hatched in October gave us her first egg today! She came up on the deck and laid it where we couldn’t miss it. As per usual it was a very small one but that’s a really good thing! It was a very cold few weeks and with the darkness they all stopped laying. So with the price of eggs again we’re glad they’re starting to “pay their rent” as Steve puts it. Hahaha!!!

I spent a lot of time scrapping over the weekend. I got a full layout and a card with a shaker on it finished and CNN posted. And I have a layout ready to adhere. Today I need to clean because I didn’t do any cleaning over the weekend. Lolol! And we need laundry done too. I put the loads together and he takes them to the washer in the cabin. Then he brings them back to the house and puts them in the dryer and when they’re done he brings them up the stairs for me to fold and put away. Once we get the water hooked up in here we can move the washer and dishwasher over here and it won’t be such a production. lol! Hopefully that won’t be much longer!

Have a fabulous rest of your Monday!!!
