Hey Cherries. The kids and I have been having a good time. We played Uno last night and they played some video games with their uncle. Today we are going to be baking cookies, and of course doing crafts.

Good morning cherries. The winds finally died down here, so we are only 30 degrees. Wind chill wasn't bad either - only 19. Not the 22 degrees with wind chill of 14 they were originally expecting. And no precip, which we love too. Miss Penny is staying warm in her PJs. DH had to put the PJs on her and at first she was a little hesitant. But aftewards, she was happy to be warm. I did take pictures too because both Jasmine and Shelby were "supervising". Probably making sure DH did it right!

I'm doing much better today compared to yesterday. Still taking it day by day. Slept for the first night w/o my abdominal binder and still haven't put it on. Running the self-clean on my oven and have towels in the dryer.

Work is definetly keeping me busy and at times I feel like I will never catch up, but I know it's only temporary as I still split my time between my computer in my office and my laptop in the recliner.

Anyways..off to get the towels our of the dryer and then move onto working!

Hi, Cherries!  Been MIA, because friends were here visiting. we had such a good time!  They came on Sunday, we were went out to eat that day.  On Monday, although cold, we got outside for walking and letterboxing.  Tuesday, 8 degrees and lower and blowing snow!  The two guys shoveled off and on, while we girls crafted in the craft room!  They left Chicago in a snowstorm! LOL. They stayed here in a snowstorm and left today headed for Arizona.  I bet they will be glad to get there! LOL. 

we are back to leaving cabinet doors open under sinks and leaving water drip pin so pipes won’t freeze.  It was 1 earlier today with -15 wind chill.  Right now 3 feels like -6.
Tomorrow -8
we have set all kinds of temp records, one from 1889! LOL

Other news:  I went to the doctor on Monday, and will have a reverse shoulder replacement on April First.  So, I will be out of commission for awhile.  I hope I can craft by  NSD!  They said no driving for 6 weeks , recovery 6 months.
i was planning on going to a junk journal retreat in April.  That is out now.

I'm glad you had a good visit with your friends! There's nothing better than that, except for good family lol!

Ooh, I hope you're healed up by NSD, too! Hugs to you! I'll be praying that your surgery isn't too hard on you! (That sucks about having to cancel on the retreat, though- it sounds so fun!!!)

Oh, yes, I'm with you on the weather. We're not quite below zero this time, but could be in a few weeks according to another model! At LEAST we're a day closer to spring, right?!!!

Well...I had a completely unexpected day off, today.  We got about 3/4 of an inch of snow/sleet last night (it is still 18 degrees and has been cold all week.)  But, it fell in the wee hours of the morning, so first we had a 2-hour delay, which turned into a day off, because they didn't get out and salt the roads last night.  I guess they thought there was enough salt left from the weekend?  NOT what I was planning, and I would normally love it, but we only have 10 rehearsals left until our musical and we did not need to be cancelled today!  We could get permission to practice late this afternoon/early evening, but with half our cast under driving age, they won't have a way to get there. Practicing with half the cast is a waste of time at this point.  Sigh...

Well, FIRST of All, this cold weather is ridiculous! I'm no fan!   It FEELS something like 9° now and brr! No thanks!  
Unfortunately, I'm scheduled today and am hoping a friend at work can pick me up in his truck! (They don't salt or plow back here where I'm at! It costs too much for me to get an SUV from Lyft - I think they raise their prices when the weather is rough!
I HAVE to start getting ready soon but al having coffee and JUST chatting away! LOL!
Yesterday was kind of a hard day for me. At one point I found a piece of Omer's hair- from his beard I think! LOL! It just... I miss him a lot and that's the only thing I can say about it. I had a little freak out over the weather, my dwindling bank account and not many hours at work, AND I took a good nap, with Scoot kitty! I've had at LEAST ONE fur baby loving on my ALL the time recently, so it's bittersweet! 
I talked to get some chores done though- litter boxes and puppy pads and some dishes; that's about ALL I did! (If course, ALSO discovered that at LEAST one of my fur babies has ugh worms so BLESSEDLY I had ENOUGH left in an Amazon gift card to get some dewormer. (I literally JUST threw out old de-wormer recently - IT something we keep on hand, because most of my babies go outside - and maybe snack on other small critters I guess! Yuck but I JUST love my babies and NEED them healthy! 
Anyway yes sorry that was gross!  
SO, I'm seeing a LOT of talk about NSD on the MBs and I'm telling you Cherries, spring can't come fast enough for ME!! While I'm not sure yet if I can afford the whole weekend off, I DO KNOW that I'm looking forward to ALL the fun! I'm thinking this will be my 4th year at NSD (here) and I'm so excited ALREADY! It's DEFINITELY something SUPER FUN to look forward to! The games, challenges, chatting and everything else! 
I MEAN! We ALL deserve a weekend like that, and if once a year is all we get, we better cram it all in!

Awwwwwww Laura, that JUST sucks! I'm VERY sorry - what a damper the wicked weather has put down in your path, LITERALLY!

I agree about the weather! Enough of winter, already!  Sending you more hugs and prayers.  Coping with loss is a long process, and you just have to do what you need to do. Sometimes, that means having a freak out and sometimes it means taking a nap, and it's all good.  Stay warm and keep doing what you need!  Spring will get here someday.
