Hi Cherries!  3 1;2 “ of snow here overnight.  17 feels like 1 , so don’t think we are melting anytime soon.  Long forecast calls for more snow Saturday.  My hubby, almost 82, is like a little kid, and couldn’t wait to go outside and shovel or blow snow.  I call it playing in the snow.  There is no need for him to do this.  But I play in craft room, he plays in the snow. LOL. Don’t worry, he only stays out , like 5 minutes at a time.  He knows to be careful, but there is no holding him back.  He had his insulated pants layed out last night for today. LOL

Lol on your DH loving the snow!!! Love the picture too! Stay warm! That’s super cold weather! Our low this morning was 17! Be safe!!!

Good morning cherries. Enjoy that snow (if y'all like it). We're in the 80s today until a front blow thru, dropping temps to the 40s tomorrow.

I'm back at my laptop, sitting in the recliner today. DH wasn't all too happy that I spent 4 hrs at my office desk on Monday, which wore me out (no pain though). He also wasn't happy that I knocked it down yesterday to 2 hrs at my office desk. I was doing okay but forgot to take my pain medicine in the afternoon as I wasn't in pain. My SIL and one of DH's co-workers came over because it's now Wesley's turn to get enrolled in school. DH's co-worker had to notarize it. Once they left, I was kind of in pain...and took 1/2 of pain med, then showered. DH worked late and I can tell he's a little stressed from work. I feel bad because he has to do some extra things around the house now too with my restrictions.

Anyways....woke up super early this morning since DH had to be out the door by 6am for work. I still need help feeding the dogs, so we did that and he left. I relaxed with coffee and Netflix and then tried moving to my office. Thinking I could do maybe an hour....but lasted 30 minutes. :( I'm kind of disappointed...but like DH keeps reminding me...it's only been 9 days since I had major surgery, and 8 days since I've been home. My body is trying to recover. I'm not super woman and I need to be kind and gentle to myself. Same advice I give others...lol....I just need to learn to take my own advice regarding myself. And yes, I'm aware...I'm stubborn.

Hope y'all have a great day.

Brandy, it’s good that you’re realizing your limitations right now. Remember this is NOT permanent! But if you don’t take care of yourself now Ike others said you WILL regret it. Nothing is worth that! The dust bunnies will happily grow as they wait. And the dogs won’t mind things not being washed right away either. Your dear hubby is right too. He worries about you because he knows how you are. :)

Is there a friend who would come clean for you or a service that will come and do a cleaning or two while you’re recuperating?

Take good care of yourself!!!

Today is an icky day here. Snowy but slushy snow so it's really not pretty. DD shoveled this morning before she left for school. DH has tomorrow and Friday off so I'm trying to get my CE page quota done for today and some of tomorrow's - we shall see. This manuscript is quite dense so it's not going as fast as usual. Of course I still need to clean the office blinds LOL. I mailed my Galentine cards last night for this morning's pickup so I hope they get there in time. I still have to make cards for the family but those aren't being mailed.
Hope your house work get your page quota done today! Have fun making your cards!!!

Sorry that you found out you weren't superwoman, but neither was Lois Lane.  You need to take care  I mean it!!!! My sister and I have a best friend since childhood  half the age between my sister and me  and she had the same surgery as you - everything but one ovary.  And the biopsy came back with one node malignant, so she was awfully scared.  Did she listen to the doctor, NO. Is she paying for it yes!!  She started bleeding again  so me being a Florence Nightingale past X-ray tech I said, NOW are you going to listen???  She's diabetic and can keep her very unstable sugar at bay by walking.  But like I told her  not after major surgery.  You have to heal.

I finally got my hearing aids this morning and yes  they are really annoying when I talk.  I had three complaints with them on the way home and my sister told me to shut up  at least for a few hours.  I needed that.  They don't feel bothersome, and I can hear really good  but.. I'm going to have to get used to them. Guess it takes more than the three hours they are in. Lol

Plan on scraping this afternoon, and Dolly has already bunkered down next to me.  Enjoy the snow girls, we probably got an inch. Plenty for me !

Sher, I hope you get used to your hearing aids or get them adjusted soon!!! Have fun scrapping today!

Yeah DH sure knows me! I deep-cleaned the entire house the weekend before my surgery, so the only thing that DH is really needing to do is unload the dishwasher and load it up after dinner. He did do laundry on Saturday (that was fun and entertaining) and changed the bed sheets. This weekend, I'll have him run the vacuum over the carpets. Oh and he had to clean up all the fuzz that was left in the living room by the girls. They destroyed several toys and then tracked the fuzz all over the place. 😂 DH was quite tired afterwards! They made him work!! LOL

Happy 216th bday to our 16th president-Abraham Lincoln!

cold and grey here. But still dry through tonight at least.  Had plans for lunch out and a few errands maybe even hobby lobby.  But feel crummy - don’t know whether it’s again or still.  Haven’t been 100% since that migraine and vertigo end of last week.  Pathetic huh?    So cancelled all but grocery as I am currently drinking my last Dr. Pepper and that is something I just don’t ever want to run out of. Lol

thinking get out and get the Dr. Pepper and come home and maybe work on some challenges or sit on the sofa and play sudoku.

have a wicked good Wednesday

We got snow, too - about 3 inches. But again, my daughter in Rehoboth Beach DE got slammed. Nothing on our agenda today so hopefully I can finish this week’s sketch.

I hope your daughter is okay with all that snow! Many years ago we had driven up from Florida to Virginia Beach to see my DD. About an hour after we arrived it started to snow. When we woke up the next morning every car in the parking lot was so covered in snow you could hardly tell them apart!!!!! For some reason that happens at beaches quite often! Crazy!!!

Well Cherries I just have to say God is GOOD!!!! We were so upset and depressed about having to move back to the cabin that I took a look at our bank account and we decided that we would buy half a load of wood and we would just muddle through financially somehow.

Steve needed more heat tape (it goes on the pipes and keeps them warm so they don’t freeze) so we went to town. I had some things to mail so I went too. Well lo and behold social security sent me a letter saying they’d mad a deduction they shouldn’t have and were refunding over $300!!! So we can not only stay in the house but we don’t have to touch our account to get a full cord of wood and have some leftover!!!!! So exciting!

They also made the deduction on Steve’s check so we’re hoping that there will be another letter to him refunding his money! Time will tell!

And even better news is that by the weekend the temperatures will be above freezing even at night! So our pipes should thaw out at last!!! We Weill probably get another cold spell but it shouldn’t last long or be quite as cold. So we are very happy today!

Meanwhile it’s sunny and cold. Low this morning was 17! Looking forward to warmer temperatures this weekend! I got the layout challenge done last night. Hoping I can play some again today. But must do some cleaning first.

Have a great day Cherries!!!

We also woke up to pretty snow, probably less than you. I've already been out to the grocery store and it was pretty warm out for snow so I assume it will melt here as well.

It is pretty warm in my house for some reason so I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt in my craft room. Here's a layout I just uploaded. I don't do too much 12x12 these days, and this one was very fun except the 2 snowflakes in the upper right are texture paste and loose glitter which I didn't anticipate containing very well, so I will have glitter on everything for a while.

Such an awesome layout Louise! I love the black background and how everything pops!

Sorry you are in pain. I must have totally missed that you had surgery. Sending prayers your way.

What a blessing. So happy for you
