Cherry Bark

Scrap a Day, October 31st
Good morning cherries and Happy Halloween! Hope y'all each get to have some time today and hang out with us cherries during Flasher Laura's Epic Halloween Party!

My headache FINALLY went away yesterday afternoon. Had to break down and take my migraine meds as I felt like that was what it was going to turn into. Work picked up yesterday afternoon a bit, but nothing I can't handle. A couple of emails came in last night which I already took care of this morning.

Our humidity is still nasty (worse than yesterday) so again, no walk this morning and instead yoga. Got the towels in the washer and DH had to leave a little early to get some lab work done. He had a f/up appt on Monday to check his A1C and it came down significantly from April (7.3 vs 6.7). I'd prefer it to be much lower but he's trying.

Besides work, will check out Flasher's Halloween's Party. Later, pass out candy if we get T-or-T's. It's hit/miss around here. Sometimes we run out of candy and other times we only see 1 or 2 kiddos. We shall see what happens tonight.

Hope y'all have a great day!

Re: Scrap a Day, October 31st
Glad you finally rid yourself of that headache!

We are supposed to flirt with 80 degrees today!  The normal high for this time of year is 58!  It is super windy though, and may rain later, but that's OK!  Our neighborhood holds Trick or Treat on the Sunday afternoon before/closest to Halloween, so we're done with that here.

I made cupcakes this morning!  I'll decorate them in a bit.  Every Halloween I make spider cupcakes for my family.  I frost them in chocolate icing, dip them into chocolate sprinkles.  I use 2 Sno-Caps for eyes, and I cut strips of licorice for legs and push then into the cake.  They are the most adorable, hairy little spiders!

Other than being here on the board, I've got nothing else going on!

Have a great day ALL!

OCD is not an adjective.  It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized.  It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. 💙 I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son. 💙

Good Morning, Brandy!
Have a fun Halloween!  Do you get to see your nephews all dressed up??

Halloween is always a fun time around here!!  The minion and I baked cupcakes yesterday afternoon when she came with her mum to pick up her brother.  Of coarse,  she wanted to break the eggs into it!!  Thankfully we put them in a separate dish to avoid egg shell mishap, which of coarse there was.  I get to frost them today.  Look forward to seeing the grandkids all dressed up and hopefully get a photo with them!  We have an unpredictable amount of kids too!

Laundry is on the agenda.  And start some packing for my trip to Seattle.
Predicted high of 50F.  Yesterday, we didn’t even reach that.  It was chilly!

Happy Halloween, all!  Looking forward to Flasher’s party.

Happy Halloween!

Supposed to be really warm here today, I already walked to the store to buy more candy - wearing shorts! Last Halloween I have photos of me wearing a winter jacket.

I plan to walk with a friend and  enjoy Flasher's party today and then tonight I expect hundreds of trick or treaters. The whole block hangs out on their front stoops drinking wine as they come by. Will be extra nice this year since we won't be freezing.

Re: Scrap a Day, October 31st
Good morning.  Nothing going on here but Halloween tonight.  And my job is the easy old grandma one of setting inside the screened in front porch and handing out candy while DD and her hubby take the kids trick or treating.   Halloween is one of my two least fav holidays, the other being 4th of July.   Cranky old woman here. Fuss, muss, bother, noise, mess, etc.   oh and misbehavior by all ages in the name of the holiday.

oh well  off to hunt for cherries while they’ve still double today.  Have a totally awesome Thursday

My SIL and brother will be T-or-T'ing in their own neighborhood this year but I sure hope my SIL remembers to take pics!
