Good afternoon all!
Jason was released from all restrictions today!! His football coach is going to start him out slow and he may have him play one quarter this Friday since it's Senior Night. I am so happy for him! He's still very nervous but so excited and happy!
Last night I made stuffed cabbage and it took way longer than expected. And I had bought pizza set ups and needed to put them together so they can be frozen for later. That took up most of my night. I was cleaning up and planning on getting on the treadmill and then for some reason, my stomach said no way. I was miserable and was in bed by 8:30.
I woke up super early today and tried to plan a page or two. I really want to scrap!!!
I have a baked mostaccioli in the freezer, so once that's in the oven, maybe I can do the treadmill, eat dinner and spend the rest of the night scrapping...
PRAYERS to all those in Florida!!! Watching this gives me such anxiety. I can't imagine what they are going through.
Have a great day!
pawprints wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 9:58 amHey Cherries. My ceiling is totally done! They did an amazing job and they did it all in one day! There were so many cut outs in it that had to be repaired and you can’t even tell! It looks fantastic! Today I have to finish putting everything back in my kitchen and den and I’ll get my scrap room back. I don’t know if I’ll get a chance to work on any cards today since I have a dermatologist appointment later this afternoon, but if not my scrap room will be ready for me tomorrow.
Have a great day Cherries.
Woot! Woot! Great that the ceilings are done and everything is going back in place!!

Glad to hear you had time to work on the art journal. Hugs and prayers for your poor Charlie cat. Hope she gets better.JollyHollyScraps wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 11:24 amHey Cherries
I got some work done on the art journal yesterday - it was a good distraction for me. I worked on it until I had to stop and get ready for work. I plan on doing some more on it today. I'm off tomorrow, and was hoping to have it finished so I can get it in the mail to the next one in line.
My poor Charlie cat... Prayers are helpful! I honestly don't know what else to do for her. So LOTS of prayer and TLC! She hasn't eaten much, but is drinking water. My heart just hurts. DGD and Omer have had Charlie around since she was a tiny kitten, so this is REALLY hard on them as well.
I'm watching the weather and praying for everyone - Milton is impacting so MANY!
Stay blessed Cherries! And safe!
So sorry to hear about your cousin's passing, Brandy. CA is such a horrible disease. I lost both of my parents to it. Prayers of comfort for your family.blbabe1234 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 11:28 amGood morning cherries. Barb - glad to hear that they finished your ceiling. And fast too! That's amazing.
Last night, I received some sad news. Actually it started with an earlier phone call. One of my cousins on my biological father's side passed away last night. Kind of expected, but still in shock. He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer a year ago. He didn't want chemo or radiation. Opted for holistic and alternative medicine. He was being treated at a hospital in Tijuana. Every other week, his wife flew out there to stay with him, with his parents being there on opposite weeks. So he was never alone. His kids saw him every day over the summer until school started back up. Yesterday morning, he turned for the worse as his esophagus ruptured. He was immediately air lifted to a hospital in San Diego. His wife and dad flew out there to be with him. At 6:37pm, he had passed away. He leaves a beautiful wife and 3 kiddos (2 girls, 1 boy). So very sad....
I'm thankful that I got to meet him and his family when I found out who my bio father was via Ancestry DNA 5 yrs ago.
I'm just working today.....
Hope everyone has a good day and will continue to keep all Floridians in my thoughts.

Oh, Brandy, I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin passing! BIG HUGS for you! I had him in my prayer list, and I'll continue to pray that God comforts the family. Message me if you need me!
I hope the rest of your day is uneventful!

Glad you are all together! Stay safe my friend!aheatfan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 11:37 amWell we are prepared and ready for whatever Milton brings our way. We are out of the cone but noticed it has wobbled a bit south so we just brought in all the outside furniture and plants. Will spend part of today catching up on work then hope to scrap a bit. It is nice to have my son and girlfriend here. I'll be making dinner for all of us tonight. YDS is at the gym of course but told him he needs to be home before things get crazy. Sending sincere prayers to all those Floridians that are facing this head on, it is very scary.
Glad your son is cleared to play for Senior Night. Love stuffed cabbage but it sure is time consuming to make.disneydarling wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 1:19 pmGood afternoon all!

Quiet day for me. Well except for all the text messages from everyone wanting to know about my DD. She lives about 20 miles north of Orlando. Needless to say she is not constantly texting me how she’s doing hunkered down in her house with her 3 kids ages 7, 9, and 16. And with her DH out in the storm doing his job too. I am getting a bit cranky with folks now. Shame on me.
only one DS coming to dinner tonight. The other one has to work . That means I won’t have to clear my craft stuff off dining room table because with just 2 of us we can sit at smaller kitchen one. Weather is cooler today. Upper 80’s.
Stay chill and have a wonderful Wednesday.

I’m glad your sons are there with you. It will be nice having them there and knowing they’re safe! I’ve been praying hard go everyone’s in Milton’s path. This one is being a bit crazier than others have been. Praying that it dissipates as much as possible before landfall and that there’s as little damage as possible. Hopefully it will miss you and you’ll have the gorgeous weather because the hurricane sucked up all the rainy energy. Take good care of yourselves!!!

Wendy, I love how organized you are with your meal planning! Makes things so much easier when you’re working! I hope you get some serious scrappy time tonight! And treadmill time too!!!
It’s nice that people are concerned but when they forget the time difference and wake you up at 3 am it’s rough. Glad you won’t have to move your scrappy things! Enjoy your dinner. And I’ll be praying for your daughter and her family!!!Charleneanne wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 3:27 pmQuiet day for me. Well except for all the text messages from everyone wanting to know about my DD. Good afternoon! Still worried about my Florida DC's. I have a good friend down there, but luck has it she is on vacation in Portugal (talk about evacuating!). I have some 2nd cousins in Florida but I'm not super close to them. One lives in Key West and another lives in the Tampa area.
Every winter with lots of snow, DH says we're moving to Florida but now I'm glad he wasn't serious.

It’s been a busy morning! I had a long chat with a dear friend and was about to fix breakfast when my youngest grandson called. He’s bored and wanted to talk. So now it’s noon and I think I’m available to cook what will now be brunch. Lolol! Steve gave up waiting awhile ago and went over to the house to work. I’ll call him when it’s ready. Lol!
I made the black and white card last night. I love how it turned out! I haven’t made a layout yet this month. Weird! Lol! Hopefully I can make a couple this weekend.
Not sure what I’ll be doing this afternoon. Praying a LOT for the people in Milton’s path. So scary! I think our prayers are kind of being answered and the intensity isn’t supposed to be so strong… But it’s still a bad storm.
Have a great day Cherries!!!
