Earning points:  each item worth 1 point
  • Doing any ACOT challenge (if combining challenges, count each challenge as a separate point)
  • Posting your project to the ACOT gallery
  • 1 point for each item from the stash list-- you may use these products on every single project you create and the object is to use as many as possible on each project to earn the most points.  10 points is the largest amount possible to earn from the stash list.

OCTOBER STASH LIST*
  1. ledger/grid/lined paper (lined does not mean stripes; lined like notebook paper)
  2. flowers (think Prima flowers, not patterned paper/stickers/printed diecuts)
  3. buttons
  4. tickets/postage stamps-any form
  5. ink in any form
  6. 6x6/6x8 papers
  7. mixed-font title
  8. pocket cards/cut-aparts (see first comment below)
  9. "office supply" items such as date stamp, staples, paperclips, etc.
  10. something sparkly
*you may substitute one item on this list as long as it's a comparable substitute.  you must tell us what you subbed.  any questions, just ask!  one substitution per project

RULES:

*NO DOUBLE DIPPING!  each item on the stash list counts for its own point.  you cannot use a sparkly button and claim it as both a button and something sparkly; it must be one or the other.
*one substitution per project is allowed, as long as it's a comparable substitution and you must tell us what your substitution is
*everyone is responsible for keeping track of their own points and reporting them to their captain in a timely fashion at the end of the month
*HAVE FUN!!

Re: october Team Challenge Info thread
for cut-aparts in the stash list, all of the following are acceptable:

Image  Image    ImageImage

they need not be the traditional 3x4 or 4x6 size/shape.  cut-aparts from 6x6/6x8 pads are also ok!! (but remember you can only count for one or the other; no double-dipping)

I’m starting to pull stuff out for this challenge! So excited! I was wondering if I used flowers of any sort that were popped up on foam, if that would be a good enough substation for the prima flowers.

Ooohhh, a new stash-list! I love most of the items, some will leave me scratching my head… but, I do love a challenge 😉

I need to make a dive into my stash and see what will match.

Also, question: can “sparkly bits” be glittery/irridescent enamel dots or sequins?

yes!  anything with a bit of sparkle.  glitter enamel dots, sequins, glitter nuvo drops, gems, glitter paper, sparkly mist or paint, metallic texture paste, etc.

Not a great list for me but I do have a gazillion stamps so I should be able to add ink to every layout. Also I see lots of gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine splatters in my future.  I think when I get home from work,I will dig out some cut  apart sheets and build a little basket of supplies.

But I do love a mixed font title! Thanks for that.

Two questions from this first time team member:

Can I upload a non- challenge project and get these points?
Does the project have to be  a layout?  Can it be a card? Journal page, etc?

only challenge-related projects will count for points, but it can be any sort of project.

*whispers* if you use paper, it can count for the 100 papers challenge  :greenwinkb:

Re: october Team Challenge Info thread
If I make my own flowers/clusters with multiple layers of dye cut shapes, would that count as a "Prima"-like flower?
Example, this is a flower I made from die cut paper
Image
This is a cluster of flowers I made by fussy cutting and layering

the first example would count.  the second fussy cut cluster would count as a substitution.

Question about #9 office supplies...  Do they have to be actual supplies or can I use paper/embellies from "office/crafting" lines, such as Vicki Boutin's chipboard sticker of a paper clip?

Another question. BTW thank you for answering the last ones! :)

When we post something and get points, do we post here or just keep track and pm our captain at the end of the month?
