Welcome to the September 2024 month of this challenge - month 15, I am not sure how many more months this will run but it has been fun so far. I really did not think I would be able to make it run this long. I love looking at your unique stories about YOU. If you are new here, this challenge came about after a conversation with my 22 year old son about a certain event and how I did not want to include a "bad' picture of myself. He then asked that I include more of myself in our books. It occurred to me that we, the scrappers are usually behind the camera and often fail to scrap ourselves - this is a means to remedy that.
Sooooo....in light of that, this challenge is to get YOU in your albums, your kids albums, your grandkids albums, they want to see/hear YOU!!!
Sometimes the topics come to me easily, sometimes not so much. I am short on time with the opening of schools so I was having a hard time coming up with something until I completed Rebecca's Where in the World Challenge with pictures that have been on my desk for an eternity!! I wanted to scrap this so my boys could see that I did not always look like just their Mom!!
It got me to thinking.....what is something that you had in your youth that you no longer have but wish you did. It can be something you took for granted, that you thought you would always have or something you had and lost along the way. For me... it is this 21 year old body. After delivering two 9 pound babies via C-section, my bikini days are loooong over. I miss this body that could wear something like that, that was without countless aches, pains and wrinkles. The body that had boundless energy to do whatever I wanted.
So your challenge is to create a layout based on something you had in your youth that you no longer have but wish you did. For this challenge I am *NOT * talking about loved ones...I am talking about something specifically unique to you - it can be something big or something small and silly just NOT the loss of a loved one. There must be a picture of YOU and ONLY you on the layout.
Here is my example:
Must be a new layout, paper or digital, single or double page. Layouts only.
You can combine with ONE other challenge that allows it.
Limit ONE entry. THERE MUST BE A PICTURE OF YOU AND ONLY YOU ON THE LAYOUT.
Please link your work here. Deadline is September 30, 2024. A random winner from all entries done correctly will be selected for a $5.00 ACOT gift card from me.

Oh my gosh month 15 already! I think I have done a few of the Picture Yourself challenges and hope to do this. I've been MIA for a few months and really hope to get back into the groove!
Love the layout! One hot mama! I was never able to wear a bikini! I have to think on this one though. Great challenge.

You are beautiful at 21 and even more gorgeous now!!! The wrinkles and imperfections we see are the adventures and the stories of our life. Hmmm maybe I will journal that thought !
Your layout is lovely! I love those colors ! Great thought provoking challenge! Thank you!

I had a yellow bikini when I was 20 and remember the sales clerk saying, buy it now or you never will....or something like that. Not sure I have any photos of myself in the bikini, but I like the idea of considering how we change as we get older. The carefree life before adulting begins...

HOTT MAMA!!! this reminds me of that Clay Walker song "Fore She Was Mama"
Girl you were gorgeous and still are!!!

Have a Wonderful Day! ~Misty
Wear the bikini, girl! I had 2 c-sections and a 9 pounder and a 10 pounder! I'm rocking a lovely "c-section shelf," and I still wear a bikini! I just get high-waisted bottoms so my belly flap doesn't fall out and smack a kid in the face! At 43, I have more confidence than I ever did. Well, I don't know that it's confidence as much as not caring what other people think! I will never wear a one-piece! Even when I'm a million years old! You're beautiful; wear what you want to wear! Ok, ok, lecture over....

Kristin I LOVE this topic idea! There's a few things that come to mind, but I'm not sure how to document them. Lol we'll see!

This made me laugh out loud, you go girl. I barely want to put on the one piece but I do. It is so true though, the older you get the less you care what others think of youlilkoala3 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 7:58 pmWear the bikini, girl! I had 2 c-sections and a 9 pounder and a 10 pounder! I wish I could eat like I did back when I was younger. I just love cookies and since I'm older and have Diabetes I can no longer eat them like I used to.
