Scrap a Day, August 19th

Post by pawprints »

Hey Cherries. Wow did we get rain last night! Thunder, lightening and a downpour like you wouldn’t believe for hours. Flooding on the roads all the way home from DD’s. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen so much rain come down at once it was just like a sheet of rain coming down you could hardly see the road. Got home late and very slow moving this morning. I’ll get started with laundry once I am fully awake.

JJ had a great birthday and a very fun time. I got to play with my three grand doggies too.

Have a great day Cherries.

Oh yes, we've had lots of rain here, too, Barb! Stay blessed, and safe! ☺️

Hey Cherries 😊
Nursing my coffee and have ALREADY journaled a bit. I'll start getting ready for work in a little while. (I came close to going back to sleep this morning but decided to go ahead and make coffee instead lol!)
Work flew by yesterday and I hope it does today, too! I had a bad customer and kept my cool, but she REALLY pushed my buttons. Over basic math. 🤷🏻 It's rude to assume that the cashier can't do maths; especially if she's right and you're wrong! I thought, this crazy lady doesn't know my life! Then, it occured to me that maybe she was just having a bad day. I've ALREADY decided that I'm having a good day! 😊
Hopefully I won't be too tired to scrap tonight! ☺️
Stay blessed, Cherries! ☺️

Sunny and pleasant here today.  We had rain with a few rolls of thunder last night, but nothing significant.  Most of it was about 15 miles north of us where the streets were flooded in parts of Lancaster.  My flowers are loving the rain and cooler temps.  They were pretty stressed from all of the hot, dry weather no matter how much we watered them.  The hibiscus loves it though along with the humidity.   I have PT at 11:15 and then a few errands before getting to my craft space.  Have a good week everyone!

Ugh up waaay too early. There are men on my roof that have been up there since 7:30! When they first started it sounded like the worst thunder storm ever. lol

Had nowhere to go today so left my car in garage so am blocked in by work truck etc. lol. Got a half dozen guys on my roof working away. And of course no cat. She is a scaredy cat so hiding somewhere poor little girl. And she isn’t into being in the house for anything but eating except in winter when the pellet stove is burning.

So guess a little cleaning and more Christmas cards are my plan for today. Lol. I can deal with that.

Have a merely Monday kind of day!

we could use your rain !  we have now been 33 days without any moisture...getting a bit parched here with our HIGH temps...we are starting to joke that 105 is a cool day..LOL
I've been plodding along trying to get some photos from last year out of my stack....mixing current ones in....I am hoping to scrap today since I have most of my household stuff done and it was already too hot at 8am to even bother doing much outside

have a great Monday ladies!

We are heating back up well into the 90’s. Thunderstorm and rain last evening and more expected tonight.

Got tomatoes cooking on the stove and will shortly get them into jars. Wanted to get this done before it heats up!!!!

Need to go to the grocery store and go get my photo taken for a passport.

Need to upload a couple layouts I finished up too!!

Hope PT goes well Vicki. Glad you didn’t get any of the flooding. Such crazy weather everywhere this year!

Hi Cherries! It’s grey and cloudy but no rain. Went from record setting 83 yesterday to 60 today! It’s so still and quiet except for the birds making their occasional noises.

I was sitting in the living room doing my normal online morning routine and suddenly the cabin felt like it was moving back and forth a few times! Steve was in the other room and didn’t feel it and neither did Sandra or Excie who live around the corner! Very strange. I’m wondering if it was a small earthquake! No construction work around us so far today. No big trucks or blasting that we know of!!! Kinda scary that nobody else felt it!!!!

Need to do some household chores before I can play. Spent half of yesterday trying to find layouts older than 2014 for the MMC challenge but nothing older worked. :( So I found one at last I can lift. Lift and change.

Hope all of you are having a magnificent Monday!!!
