The randomly drawn winner of this challenge is Sharman Paulus! PM me with your snail mail address and I will send you a little prize goody!
For this month's card challenge, I want you to try an easy little technique with some scraps: paper weaving! You must weave at least 4 paper strips together and use them on your card. Weaving is defined by parts of the strips going over and under other strips (so not just laying them on top of each other.) Below is a Page Maps sketch, so you can see how it works, although they modified it a bit, as not all the strips go over and under. There is also an example card from Pinterest. If you don't know how to do paper weaving, I'm sure there are dozens of tutorials, as well. After you weave your strips together, you can cut them into a shape, or place them on your card, as is, but I must be able to see all 4 strips of paper woven together! Bonus entry in the prize drawing, if you weave 4 different scraps (as in not all from the same paper design).
You have until midnight, August 31 to upload your card(s) in the gallery spot I've provided.
You may enter up to 3 times, with 3 different cards.
Must be a new card.
CANNOT be combined with other challenges, except for the Bi-Monthly, 100 Papers, and Team challenges.

ohhh I'm excited about this one. I love the example so much and agreed this is perfect for all those scraps I hang on to. Or even the border strip
Great Challenge! Thank you!

This was a fun challenge! I've not done any paper weaving in many years! Here's my card! I used 9 different scraps! It's also posted in your gallery slot!
OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.
I feel in love this challenge. I can see me doing many more of these paper weaving cards...I'm hooked.
Here is my first card:

This challenge was perfect for me! I save all my scraps, even strips. (I admit it, I'm a paper hoarder!) I needed to send a card to a friend of mine who has repeatedly challenged me to make "make something" from all those strips - so this was a great idea to use up some of them (I still have TONS more! I'll need to do a LOT of woven patterns to even make a dent!). I actually love this technique and don't know why I don't do it more often?
