It's been a long week in this Texas heat. I made sure to do all the right things. Hydrated like crazy. Made sure my family and friends were getting hydrated because I know the dangers of extreme heat. It took six days to get our power back. Three of those days we didn't have a generator. I thought I was a little sluggish and assumed it was just because it was hot. We'll yesterday I almost passed out and i knew something wasn't right. I went in to the er with extreme heat exhaustion. They gave me iv liquids and told me I'm on bed rest for three days. To hydrate at home and stay out of the heat I feel a little better today but I'm still very sluggish. No matter how much I prepared the heat still got me. Texas heat is nothing to mess with. I hope the 500 k without power still, gets it soon. It's too hot and dangerous to not have power.
Thank you for all the encouragement and prayers!! I'm so thankful beyond words that my power is back on.

Oh Flora, I'm so sorry this happened. Glad you were able to make it to the ER and get fluids. Make sure you get your electrolytes up too. So many hugs and prayers for you and your family and all the Texans who still do not have power. I'm always thinking of you!

I'm so sorry you went through this. Enough already! Stay strong and feel better soon. I'm praying for all of you in TX who are suffering.
Mary Love is all around you.
Flora. Jeez! Take care of yourself. Maybe you could take up watching soap operas. That way you could lay around on the sofa every afternoon for a couple hours ! lol. Feel better soon.

Thanks Stacy!! Rest is definitely happening today.
Oh Flora I am so sorry you have had to deal with the extreme heat and another trip to the ER after everything else you have been through. I'm so glad you finally got your power back and can rest in the comfort of your a/c now. ((Hugs))
Oh no - after all you have been through! Glad the power is back on and you can rest in the a/c.
Hi everyone! My name is Susan and I love to scrapbook!
Lots of rest and keep up the fluids. Beware that in the future you may be extra sensitive to the heat so you need to watch and take off yourself. Lots of hugs and prayers for the body balance to get back to normal.
Susan
