Hello cherries!
This challenge is inspired by bulletin boards. Growing up, I had a cork board above my desk in my bedroom. I filled it with photos of my friends and pets. Tickets, just random teenage stuff. I'd like you to take that concept and put it towards a layout.
Requirements for this layout are:
1. "Textured" looking background paper. Cork, Burlap, Woodgrain, Chalkboard, Denim, Fabric, etc.
2. Washi tape, Ribbon and/or Twine
3. "Fasteners" such as brads, Enamel Dots, staples, paper clips, Buttons, etc.
4. 2 or more photos
5. 1 or more quote and/or phrase
6. design your layout to make it resemble a bulletin board or a cork board
My first example is a few pics of the girls - Jasmine, Shelby and Penny. I used some washi tape to create a border around the cork pattern paper. Pieces of washi tape, stickers, a couple of brads, etc.
As I was finishing up this one, I then was inspired to do one of Mr. Jackson. This one I used the washi tape a bit more creatively, tucking some of the photos under the washi tape. Brads and stickers completed it.
Here are the rules!
1. Scrap your pet(s) using a bulletin board style design. Have fun with your required items (mentioned earlier in the post).
2. Layouts ONLY - paper, digi and hybrid
3. You may combine this challenge with any other challenges that allow combining.
4. Please post your layout to this thread.
5. Due August 31st, 11:59 PM
6. You may do this challenge up to FIVE times.
7. One random, lucky winner will receive an ACOT gc courtesy of me.

both of your LOs are so cute! my question: do they need to look like a bulletin board or is it ok if they just contain the required elements?

Thank you Stacy.
Yes, your layout needs to resemble something similar to a bulletin board. Feel free to search for some ideas..I found some on Pinterest.

Brandy your sample ‘bulletin boards’ look amazing! I love how you used a couple styles and so many sweet pics of your furbabies ! Great challenge! Thank you !

This is a great topic! I had a bulletin board too and made several for my daughters and nieces with the criss cross ribbon design. I hope to get to this one for sure.
I don't know if I have any textured looking paper for the background - will have to look and see. I may have some textured cardstock - swiss dots - that might work.
Hi everyone! My name is Susan and I love to scrapbook!
This one will really be a challenge! I found my background paper, now just need to figure out the rest.

Oh I love it!! I love your French bulletin board design on Jackson, too, but the scattered bulletin board effect looks great with all your girls.
Great challenge!

I like the idea. I wish I could put my hands on the cork paper I know I have from years ago.

I LOVE the french memo board with the washi! Might have to "borrow" that idea for my layout!
Bump! Just trying to bury the spammer!
OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.
love this challenge!!!

Such a creative idea -- great challenge! I had fun making my bulletin board. Used old 12x12 Karen Foster paper. Had to trim off the wood frame, cut the cork-looking paper down to 8.5x11, then cut down the frame and put it back on, but I think it was worth it! I used:
Twine -- to hang photos across top
Brads -- to hold twine and on red "Be the person" tag
7 photos
Multiple phrases
