Ladies, I don't know, but looks like you are overthinking it. We use brads to decorate pages, even the simplest ones. For me each brad is decorative.

I also understood decorative brads to be something other than plain, round ones.  With an image on them or different shapes.  But that is for the captains to say,  
  

good morning everyone!  yes, decorative brads (IMO) are anything but the plain round ones.  shaped, fabric, glittery, with pictures, whatever.  does that help?

I’m doing okay, I’ve gotten 4 layouts in by now, and that’ll have to do for now. We have an extended family day, so I’m not sure how much more I can do today, but perhaps tomorrow.

i commented but in case you didn't see it:  anything except the plain round ones.  can be shaped, with images, fuzzy, etc.

This is how I interpret decorative brads. Those big round ones with an image on them.  Am I right Stacy?

i'm so glad to hear that  i find it really pushes me, especially the stash list.  i enjoy trying to get as many points as i can

I'm up to 4 layouts now.  It's not really that much, but for me it is.  Most of the time I can only get 4 layouts done in a single month!  This challenge is pushing me some!
