I meant to post this last week but couldn't get my photo to load. So the below is actually from last Thursday.
Long story short - I want to see all 5 Great Lakes this summer. So DH and I planned a trip to Mackinaw City where we would stay for the weekend and then also take a day and visit Mackinac Island. That would take care of 2 lakes. While doing the planning I asked him how far out of the way Saginaw was? He asked why while he proceeded to look it up and I told him I have always wanted to go to ACOT. He put his phone down and said it didn’t matter that he would make it happen.
Since it would add 2 hours on to our trip, we decided to leave a day early to get the drive out of the way. This was yesterday and I had already known that ACOT would be closed by the time we got to Saginaw. We got settled into our hotel and while out getting dinner we decided to find ACOT before we went back to the hotel. After a good night sleep we headed to ACOT.
I had reached out to Rachel ahead of time only to find out that she would not be there, but Jess would be. I was so excited to finally meet her in person, check out the store front and yes do some shopping.
DH was so supportive and even asked if I got everything I wanted. In which I relied “No I need a picture”. Of course he took the picture for me and I was all happy.
Dreams do come true!!! I’ve been waiting since 2009 for this day. Thank you Jess for the conversation and for taking a picture with me.
