Last MMC there was a post about "old school" scrapping. lol I mentioned that it might be sort of the theme for this summer's MMC's. That being said, here is your "old school" challenge. We did serendipity squares last week.
This week, I challenge you to make a border for your layout or card! We used to do border swaps, and decorate themed borders all the time. Below are some of my borders I made to swap. I like to think I have gotten better at these, but who knows! lol
Some rules:
*Your border must be at least 1/2 inch thick and 6 inches wide (the base on which you put your design)
*You must include either an image or lettering (or both).
*You must use your border on your layout or card as a border (on one of the edges).
Some ideas:
You can use alphas, punches, stamps, washi, die cuts, fibers or twine, cardstock and/or patterned paper, fussy cutting, stickers, rub-ons, buttons, brads, bling...are you getting the idea? You can use basically anything! Just create a decorative border with some layering.
You will have until midnight, Monday, June 24th to post your layout or card in the gallery spot I've provided to be entered in the prize drawing.
Must be a new entry.
CANNOT be combined with any other challenges, except for motivational challenges that require multiple entries, such as the Bi-Monthly or the new Team Challenge.
I read your challenge out loud to my sister. She is busy these last few months organizing all of my scrap supplies by product, color, or however she thinks would be the simplest for me to find supplies. I started laughing and said omg, I can use that older stuff .
She said it's not funny.
