I’m not a fan of purple but you wouldn’t know it by the amount of purple card stock I own. I bought so much of it 20 years ago when my granddaughters were babies.
I am with you! No purple and no butterflies! Lol!

I'm ok with some purple and butterflies but always shy away from paper with very very busy florals..
"Be the Change You Wish to See in the World"

Too much purple and pink, too feminine, too flowery. I live in a rainforest on an island surrounded by mountains and the ocean with cold water and rocky beaches. I also have an excess of men/boys in my family. I have 2 brothers, DH has 3 brothers and between us we have 4 grandsons! I have a daughter and we have a granddaughter. And neither of them are very girlie. So I really don’t have use for much feminine product. I don’t mind a couple of butterflies but I think a lot of collections have way too many!!!

Colors are generally not an instant turn-off but glitter that falls off the paper is as are papers that are so designed that I can’t figure out how to use for photo layouts. For example, some of the Mintay, Stamperia, and G45 papers (the ones that has a gorgeous scene/vignette that covering any of it kind of “ruins” the glory-ness of the design). However, I keep buying them because they are SO beautiful!

phew i dont feel so bad about purple and butterflies now :P

Lol hey Carrie
I don't really care for too much pastel
Not a fan of purple, but do use a butterfly here and there. I definitely stay away from "cutsie" prints. Not a fan at all.

Purple is OK for me, I rarely use it. But Butterflies!! Just NO. Tired of them all over , yes , waaaayy tooooo much Butterfly!

Butterflies, birds and pastels

Random text that has nothing to do with the theme of the paper. Sorry I know so many love using it but it's just not for me. If the text isn't relevant and is just random I pass. (In digi scrapping I have been known to "clone it out" if it's a paper I really like but don't want the text on it lol.)

I don’t like papers that have such big images that they get covered no matter where you put your photo. I think these papers are better for collage or making projects but not scrapbooking.
Just call me Nan - it's short and sweet

Super busy prints!
And why all the trains or planes for little boy paper collections totally covering the page! !!
I can do some purple and some butterflies…
Agree on the random words - I think it limits the use of the page sometimes.

I’m tired of vintage floral stuff. Living in the real world is not full of vintage floral moments.
For the purple, I need it. My kids high schools colors are purple and gray. Go figure.

Carrie I’m with you on purple! I used to feel the same way about pink, but I’ve embraced it more over the years
. I don’t mind butterflies, but I’m working on my heritage album right now and it’s an easy go-to embellishment
. But I don’t like them covering a patterned paper, or any busy images for that matter.
For me, I’m pretty certain I’m in the minority on this one…… instant turn off is busy images on patterned paper. For example, if I’m scrapping a baseball layout I don’t need baseballs all over the paper, or if I’m scrapping a pic of someone eating an ice cream cone….I don’t need a literal plethora of ice cream cones on the paper
. I navigate to patterns, plaids, stripes, etc which fortunately most manufacturers offer on the “B” side. I like the pics to tell the story, along with embellishments to, well….embellish the story
PS…..glad to hear you’re still alive

Oh my goodness Susan, I literally answered this the same way about images covering the page before reading your post, I thought maybe it was just me!

I'm with you on the color purple. Not a fan of the color and hardly ever use it in my crafting. What do I steer clear of every time??? SKULLS! I don't know why, but they creep me out!
