Happy New Year!  And welcome to the 100 paper challenge!

For anyone who didn't see the original thread, this is a challenge where you make a personal goal to use 100 sheets of patterned paper (or cardstock) in the year 2024.  You can use scraps, 6x6 pads, whatever you want,  because this is your adventure and your paper!  Everyone is welcome, whether you make only layouts or cards, art journals or even digital pages (perhaps you'll want to choose 100 kits or elements to use?) 

This will not be a challenge where a winner is chosen, because we'll all be winners for using our stash 

Whether you are just keeping a tally, or you have set aside 100 papers to start,  go ahead and post your projects to this thread and let us know what progress you're making.  I can't wait to see everyone's 100 and their beautiful work!

Any questions, post on the thread or pm me and I'll be happy to help    ETA:  you DO NOT have to use each paper up entirely!  cutting into and using each sheet counts.

I’m in! I think I am going to pull 10 papers a month, first concentrating on kits that just have a couple pieces left and finish those off. Then pulling 10 from my very old stash. If I don’t use the old papers by the end of the year - out they go! I’ll take a pic of my first 10 when we get home!

Since I'm just gonna roll with it, I'll take a picture of what I will use, along with what I created. I'll keep the images small, but add the link.

1. These were all scraps. 4 pieces in all:

3. I used 2 scraps of paper - blue cardstock and silver glittery paper


4. I used NINE sheets of paper here - 2 yellow pp, 2 green pp, 1 star pp, 1 turquoise, 1 orange, 1 bone pp, and light grey cardstock for photo mats



5. I used 5 papers - green pp, red pp, b/w pp, white cardstock, black cardstock


6. Used 4 pieces of scrap here - the grey pp and 3 solid cardstock (red, blue, and yellow)



7. I used 3 scraps - light pink, dark pink, the small print



8. 3 pieces - floral print, 2 solid cardstock scraps


 

9. I used 4 - the background paper, the phrase paper, the yellow paper and the blue strip (looks like ribbon but it's actually from a sheet of borders)

*Some of the papers are full size sheets, but any scraps I have left are going into a clean scrap bin. After this round, I'm probably gonna do this again!

I am opting to use 100 (maybe more) large scraps and they are numbered (to keep track). Each scrap used will only be used on one layout and whatever is left over (ack and gulp) will be (am I really saying this?) tossed. I’m keeping track in my notebook. Here is my spot, and I am challenging myself to use at least 50 actual papers.  Thanks for allowing Digi....I actually have 183 DVD's of papers/kits stored from my past 17 years doing digi!  One of the best things about it is being able to reuse favorites. lol  So, I'm going back to some of those really old DVD's to find papers I want to use for the other 50!

I have all my papers picked out and numbered (to keep track) with the goal of using primarily only what’s in the giant baggie. I think that, by the end, I’ll be okay with letting go of any scraps of scraps of scraps. 

i am terrible about my scraps!  i have an entire bin of small strips.  do i ever even look at the bin, let alone IN the bin?  of course not.  can i bring myself to toss them?  of course not, ugh!  i wish you lots of success in parting with your scraps of scraps of scraps
