My favorite is our traditional turkey dinner….grandpa used to make it (turkey stuffed with the most delicious stuffing, mashed potatoes with homemade giblet gravy, Polish pickles, homemade bread, rutabaga, green beans, cranberry sauce, and one other vegetable that changed depending on what was available). After grandpa passed, my dad began making the dinner with very little variation (I think he took out the homemade bread). Now that dad is in his mid-80s, he has invited me to be his sous chef this year so I can learn the secrets to a juicy turkey, amazing stuffing, and proper rutabaga prep.

My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is the time with family and friends!  I also love all the food (especially the dressing and hash brown casserole!!) - I even LOVE the preparation that goes into making it all!!
