I would like to purchase a photo printer. I like the option to change my print sizes down to small ones like a wallet size, but also maybe even print as large as 5 x 7. I do order my bulk photos from a printer company, but I want to have the option to print a photo for a challenge at that moment instead of waiting weeks for it. Any suggestions or experiences are helpful! Thanks so much in advance!

I seriously cannot rave enough about the Epson PictureMate PM-400! Seriously, it is absolutely lab quality, I love it!! I use the app from my phone or ipad to print, it is incredible. Here's a layout I did, just yesterday my sister texted me this pic she had of a strawberry pie our Mom made (it was a family fave). Quality not very good, old pic....and look how fabulous my PM-400 printed

I love the instant gratification of her texting me this photo and I just used my app to print it in a couple minutes. You can print 4x6 and 5x7. But the app has the ability to print all different sizes on 4x6 or 5x7 sheets. It's how I print my 3x4 photos and square photos of all sizes. I checked it out after seeing Vicki Boutin's recommendation that she uses it. I watched some YouTube videos on it, comparing it to other photo printers, etc. So do your research on what you think would work best for you.

I second the vote for the Epson PictureMate. Prints easily and beautifully.
I agree about the Epson Picture Mate. I have owned every model since it first came out. I have never been disappointed. It is what I would take with me to crops, or weekend retreats because it is so lightweight and handy to have for that purpose.
I now own the Epson 8600 or something like that as well. The print quality in an Epson truly is spectacular.

Can't beat an Epson Printer! I'm looking to replace my desk top HP that has finally quit on me. I want that size because of the need to print 8 1/2 x 11 size. Anyone who has opinions on the larger size, I'd love the help deciding which one to purchase.

It appears I'm in the market for a new desk top printer since my Epson XP-7100 cannot connect to any of my devices. Please it's leaving streaks on my documents (if it decides to print again).
MY HP Photosmart is dying - I will be needing to replace it. I do need to be able to scan and copy on it too.
Hi everyone! My name is Susan and I love to scrapbook!

I have the really big professional model Epson, I can't remember the model number and I'm not home right now. It prints up to 13 x19, although I have rarely used it for anything larger than 12x12. Photo quality is excellent, especially when used with Epson premium photo paper or higher level Epson papers. tI really like it but the inks are expensive and it does take some TLC every so often, cleaning the heads and fussing until it works right again.

I have the big Epson 15000 Series large format printer that prints up to 13x19. I use it to print my 12x12 digi pages and also for all my photo printing. Epson's quality is amazing! I got this to replace my large format Epson Artisan when it went. You can't seem to go wrong with an Epson photo printer.

This is the one we have. Photos are amazing. My husband even prints 12x12 cardstock for me.

I just bought the Canon TS9521C printer/scanner and I love it. I was needing a new printer (my HP was 17 years old and it was time to replace it). It will print 12 X 12, 8 1/2 x 11, 5 x 7, 5 x 5 and 4 x 6. I printed some pics and they are as good or better than others I have got from local stores. I have been wanting to get this printer and passed on getting it in 2019 for $179.00. Then covid came and they became hard to find. Canon has been sold out for the last two years when I check their site for availability. Amazon has them for $550 and up so I have been waiting and watching prices. Decided to check again with Canon and no luck. So I clicked on where to buy and Best Buy came up. I was surprised when my local Best Buy had the printer available to ship to the store for pickup. I was also happy that the cost was the same as Canon. I love that I can print the different size pics with just a click. My big order for pics I will still order from Walmart for .09 a pic for one hour service. I also have the Epson picture mate that I use at crops.

It does not. It’s a compact, lightweight dedicated photo printer.

I think for the PM-400 it really would just depend on how many photos you’re printing and how fast you go through the ink to answer if you consider it expensive. I get my ink for 32.99 on Amazon and it lasted me almost a year, but I don’t print/scrap massive numbers of pics. I just print a pic, or a few, when I’m ready to scrap something. I’m not a high volume scrapper so it works great for me.

Good topic Sandy Jay! I'm bookmarking this! I ALSO would LOOOOVE to be able to print my own photos again as well, so I'm just gonna sit back and take everything in here.
I don't have the money for one yet, but it's a goal!

I always like to have a goal, a photo printer is on my Christmas list now. I am glad others are getting some info from this post. A lot of good input from people!

Just checking in on my new printer, I bought the ET-2850 Epson. Not a large one but handles my needs. Prints amazing quality photos. It takes the basic 8.5 x 11 and any size under that - I've used 5x7 and 4x6 paper. As for price of the refills, a pack is 49 at Sam's Club and 55 at Amazon. I was paying in the 30 range for one cartridge for my old HP. Also, these Epson inks are likely to last longer. Also, I can scan and I print remotely or from desktop. There are probably other things, but this is all I need for now.
And, my DD's little Cannon Selphy is still doing a marvelous job with what it does.
