Scrap a Day, July 1st
Hey Cherries. More humidity today ugh. But now that it’s officially July it’s to be expected. We are supposed to get thunderstorms later today too. I’m going for a mani pedi a little later on and will continue to work on getting my new challenges up today. I forgot to start this month’s goals thread last night so I will get that up in a bit.

Hope you all have a great day.

Raining here and Artemis is mad because I won't let her out in the downpour. lol  Eliza was very sharky this morning, so I ended up getting an umbrella and taking her for a walk to wear her out. She was soaked, but pretty happy. Haha!

I just put up my July challenges and I will hopefully get to scrap a bit today. I need to get cleaning up my crazy mess of a house so we can have guests on the weekend for the 4th. I think they will just have to realize I can't do as much with the puppy. :)

Yes, I remember the days of having a puppy but didn’t have the additional responsibility of a kitty. Good luck.

We had a big rain last night and the heat is less intense today.

We’re having a little birthday dinner for my MIL tonight so I’m getting ready for that today. I doubt I will scrap. I definitely will not get my challenge up today, I will do that and draw my winner tomorrow.

it almost the long weekend, have a great day everyone.

Re: Scrap a Day, July 1st
Good morning cherries. Humidity is so horrible here, y'all can probably SMELL it. 97% humidity and our heat index will be well over 100+. Ugh...and its swampy out too. It has rained every day between a tenth of an inch to 2 inches each and every day the last two weeks. We need to dry out!! Because I NEED to mow!

Another day, another dollar. Got DH to work a few minutes early. Traffic was light and I hit all green lights! Woo-hoo! LOL.

Anyways, back to work for me! Just wanted to say HI!

Re: Scrap a Day, July 1st
Hello, it has cooled down in the desert. 94º for a high today. It has been threatening rain the past couple days but only spits and sputters so far. I hope it starts pouring and rains hard on the 4th so all the fire works are put out without a chance of causing trouble.

I love that the new month of challenges comes right before this long weekend! My hubs will be working and I will have plenty of time to organize some page kits for them. I just hope there are not too many that reference the 4th since I will be sitting inside that day! Haha I guess I could pull out some old military photos and scrapbook those.

There are so many layouts I have piled up to put in protector sheets. I let those stack up way too much. I don’t scrap chrono but I try to put them in albums in order the best I can so I will be shifting lots of pages around.

stay safe everyone and happy scrapping

Just gave myself a mani. :)  I love Color Street nail strips...actual polish in strip form that sticks on without the mess, and I can apply them in about 30 minutes, with zero drying time.
My nails have never looked so good...salon manicures last about 2 weeks on me and so do these.  I can't do gel manicures, because they destroy my already thin, bendy nails.  Plus, at approximately $12 for 2 full strips, I get 2 manicures for 1/4 the price of one.

It’s Happy Canada Day!  And I have 3/4 of the grandkids here today.   Just got lunch served up.  And I need to lay down with the little one so she will nap! Today was the last swimming lesson day! After a month in the water every day he’s finally getting the hang of things.
so, don’t think there will be much scrapping around here today.

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Wow - I lucked out.  I no sooner got home than the sky opened up with torrential downpours.  It's not so bad now but oh my gosh....it sure is dark out there (and inside).  Hopefully this means tomorrow will be less humid and I can actually go outside for my walks.  Walking inside and getting my steps isn't quite as much fun.

Enjoy your evening everyone!!

I got a gel mani today and since it was my first one in two years, my nails are kind of strong.  I need to check out the Color Street nail strips.

You will have to hunt for a consultant in your area if you want someone to demonstrate, but you can order from their website directly.  I have found them very easy to use!  I just put a clear, fast-drying top coat over them to keep them longer. :)

My natural nails are very thin and bendy too, and they break if you look at them the wrong way. I can do gel as a base for strength, but can't do full color gel because I am for some reason allergic to the color gels. I get around it by doing clear gel and then just the tips in color, and I found that I can do the chrome powder on the full nail without any problem. What does destroy my nails is acrylics. So I stick with the clear gel base and go from there. Sometimes she puts little sequin shapes or glitters under the gel and it looks cool. I'm glad you found something that works for you!
