These are some layouts I made about 15 years ago. My style has definitely changed, but I love looking back on these and seeing these photos scrapped! While we are making new layouts this NSD weekend, I thought it would be fun if we also looked at how our style has changed through the years! Share some photos on this thread of some of your earlier scrapbook layouts! Everyone who adds a photo will get Cherry Points and one random winner will receive the ACOT Merch bundle! You have until May 10 to add your photos!
This is so fun! Here are a few of mine from 9 years ago -- back then I used 8.5x11 paper, larger pictures, and typically created two-page layouts:
Here is my first ever LO posted to acot. 4/28/2013 - my first every NSD or virtual crop too!
And here is my most recent from November 2020! Not too much has changed I wouldn't say

here I discovered deco scissors
and here I discovered patterned paper:

THEN:
NOW:
My first albums were all Creative Memories and now I still use post bound but just the protectors so I can move layouts around without taking the whole thing apart or risking do a page upside down on those Creative Memories pages.

I don't have my oldest pages (done in 2005) as the albums are in storage and I didn't take pics of them. These are probably done 2006 or 2007 with HOTP kits for most of them.

How fun!
This is the first layout I posted here at ACOT (well, it's actually the third, but something happened to the other 2 images along the way. )
I started with Creative Memories back in 1996, I think.
Being here at ACOT gave me an addiction to patterned paper backgrounds, and I started doing a lot of colorblocking, too! This layout uses some of the photos from my very first digi camera.
Soon got tired of colorblocking, but I'll always be addicted to Basic Grey!
My very first digi layout here, which I was inspired to do by the amazing people here at ACOT. This is my DH:
Met some awesome Cherries in person, back when we were Stick Gals from Stickers Galore:
Got our beautiful, departed Paisley in 2007, and I became a member of ACOT's Digi CT!
My parents and family love benefitting from my scrapbook creations:
Pretty sure I'll always be bi-scraptual, though, because I love getting my hands on paper!
But, my digi layouts do outnumber the paper ones in the gallery, mainly because I'm too lazy to photograph and upload the paper ones! lol
37 Gallery pages later, I get to today and I'm so glad to still be here at ACOT! My latest layout:

I started scrapping in 2001. This is my very first layout. Boy did I think I was hot stuff with the deco scissors LOL! DH and DS when Daddy came home from work every day, heehee. Also I had gotten some subscription and all the pages were three hole punch and I scrapped on the front AND back of each page. Omg LOL!
Happy Scrapping!

These are layouts from my very first scrapbook, in 2001, of my son when he was a baby. It was an 8.5x11 binder, I had VERY little supplies, and honestly, I was a lot more creative back then... working with less!
Here is 1 of my first pages. It's "extra fancy" for a challenge.
Here is a recent page.

It's ok, I scrapbook.

Here's an earlier layout from 2006
Here's more recent:
I definitely add more "stuff" to my layouts now but honestly, now that I am looking back, it might be fun to scraplift some of my older layouts and refresh them. Thanks for the inspiration!

My first scrapbook from 2006:
And some pages:
and now:
I definitely journaled more at first...I told more of a story. I also felt like I had to cover every inch of the paper with something. Not so much now.
