Wow, September already! Can't believe it's back to school time and fall is on it's way! I hope you enjoyed the new version of my sketch challenge in August. I've picked out two more sketches for you to choose from in September. OR, if it's too hard to choose, do both!
Take Your Pick gives you two choices, a one-page sketch or a two-page sketch.
You can choose either sketch or do both, each will count as one entry.
I will allow an entry for anyone who wants to use only one side of the two-page sketch.
So, if you use the one-page sketch, that's one entry. If you use one or both sides of the two-pager, that's still one entry, maximum of two entries per participant.
The "challenging" part is that there will be a requirement along with each sketch, so please read carefully each month. In fairness to everyone participating and in the drawing for the prize, please only post submissions that meet the rules and challenge requirement.
For both sketches the challenge requirement this month will be JOURNALING. Show me more than person, place & date on your pages, tell me what is behind the pictures. It can be a little, or a lot...handwritten or typed. I've used quite a bit of journaling in one of my samples, and just a few lines on the other.
I found this month's one-page sketch on Pinterest, credit to Susan Stringfellow for the design:
In my sample, I've added a few lines of handwritten journaling about the nicknames we have for our sweet boy Malcolm. He's really a Mama's boy, so I decided to title this page My Schmoopie, because that's what I call him This is an example of minimal journaling, but more than just who, where & date:
My Schmoopie
September's two-page sketch comes from Pagemaps.com:
In my sample for this one, I used only the left side. I had more of a story to tell about these pictures, so this page shows an example of more journaling, I wanted to tell a story:

Here's my layout using the first sketch - #1 Today. Added journaling strips above the title and included the date. Doing a baby's first year album for my niece and hope she will add more journaling herself. Loved using this sketch and will definitely use it again. Your sample with My Schmoopie is adorable. Also submitted for the September Guest Designer #1 Challenge.

Here is my second entry. I used the left side of the second page but it really didn't turn out that way UGH! I did have a long story to tell though! I was feeling rather sentimental with DS starting preschool this week.

Ekkk I realized never submitted my FIRST entry LOL! I used the first sketch and put this as an example for the max it out challenge
