OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.
WB, Laura. How did you manage a whole month without the MB?

Well, we had our internet through the cable company (Time Warner). It kept cutting out many, many, many times during the day. In fact, it was out more than it was on. So the techs had come out and determined there was "outside interference" and replace the cables. Still no fix. Techs were out twice more to "fix" the problem, replacing modems, inside cables, etc. Nothing worked. They finally just said it must be a problem with the "aerial space" ("You have a lot of trees, power lines, etc.") and said there was nothing they could do. They expected us to continue paying the same price for cable that they themselves verified we could not adequately use. So, we cancelled with them and finally got hooked up through the phone company - so far so good.beachlover wrote:Welcome Back

Welcome back Laura!!!! We just moved to cable internet. I so feel for you and having to deal with Time/Warner!!! Their excuse aerial space is nuts! James ran through trying to figure out how to get more speed....honestly my son and his craving for speed!!!???? Then again to watch him type is like watching his brain moving in overdrive. He types just a hair over 200 words per minute! Oh how I wish!
He's really good at finding out what works and doesn't when it comes to Internet Service. We switched from ATT over our phone lines to NewWave which was purchased from Comcast. They put all new lines in. Comcast service is horrible but we have had pretty good luck with NewWave so far. About four weeks after we got the cable some dummy decided to destroy a transfer box with a Cherry Bomb Fire Cracker. We were down 18 hours.
Just FYI Time Warner promises a lot and doesn't deliver! Has horrible ratings when it comes to internet service according to James. So horrible they are ranked #1 in horrible!
