Welcome Margaret!! This is a great group of gals. I'm a long time ACOT'er, but only recently started joining in the board myself, and they are now such a great gang of friends that I feel like we all live next door.

I'm Sher, I've been scrapping for the same amount of time as you - 1996. My mother died in December of 1995, and no one wanted to look at our childhood photos, so I dug in my heels and scrapped some of them for each of my siblings - and then I forgot to stop.
I was a scrapbook teacher in Hershey PA for many years - actually their first, then taught at several conventions, and then realized I was slowly turning my fun into a job, and stopped. I'm glad I did. While it was nice making a little money doing it, I found myself doing what everyone else wanted and not what I wanted to scrap. This is much much more fun.
