I have been applying for job since I got divorced (2+ years ago)....and FINALLY got some nibbles that panned out for me....although they are only part-time gigs. I interviewed for 3 part-time things...and was offered 2 of them. (One of the gentlemen was okay with having the time altered a bit so that I could take on both. One is through a temp agency...and the other was on my own. I interviewed for a full-time position. When I interviewed I found out there were 180 applications and they chose to interview 6 (3 external / 3 internal). WOW! And I have been a stay-at-home mom for 13 years already..... Well, I found out I made it to the Top 3...but they ended up hiring someone else. I will admit...I was sad....as I really wanted to work there. Then I saw another opening....and applied for it. I just interviewed (for even less pay than the first...good God!)....and found out that I was recommended by the first hiring department who told this one (1. you would be lucky to get her....and 2. we hired the wrong person).....another WOW!
So....that has been making me pretty scarce from here....and my designing.....because my job search comes first....so that I can support myself and my kids!!!! The designing is not a money maker.....but trust me, I TOTALLY appreciate even a single sale that I make as it could help towards me doing something nice for my kids! What I have so far, I am keeping in an envelope.....and building it up towards a little sump'n sump'n!)
So, see....I have not "fallen off the face of the planet"....nor have I left because of some other previous stuff.....I am here....just not as visible to some....or as often.....
