I would not have known this - but believe me - it works!
I was misting some canvases on Friday with - what else - RAVEN - the darkest. . . . and the AC went on and blew the mist all over my ivory carpet!!! I was sick!! I ran for anything that was a cleaner, nothing budged it. I'm working feverishly away at it and the phone rings. I thought it was my sister, so I answer and it's a family friend. She asked what was wrong, I told her, and she said "Oh dear, that's an easy clean up. Do you have "Real Lemon" in your refridgerator?" I told her I did, and she said to pour it on the ink on the carpet. Then to get paper towels and put hand sanitizer on it and rub it into the lemon juice. I was OMG, should I reallY?
Well it's ALL out. Nothing else needed, not even a second round of cleaning it up. It's 100% OUT.
I wish none of you have this disaster, but if it ever happens - Real Lemon, Hand Sanitizer (FYI, I used Purell) I'm a happy person now again! HTH
Yep, she didn't know what "Glimmer Mist" even was - she's an older lady, but obvious a real smart one!! She said "It'll take ink out of anything." WOW!!:-D
Wow! That is an awesome tip! Glad you got the Glimmer Mist out of your carpet!

I wonder if the combination will take anything out of carpets. My darling son spilled a bottle of gatorade in his room, red one of course, and didn't take the time to clean it up. Nice RED stain right in the middle of his room. I was SOOOO beyond pissed but couldnt' find anything to get it up. I will give this a shot.

If it doesn't - PM me (or post here) and I can always ask that "older family friend" what she'd suggest. Hey, she's amazing. REALLY.
Like after repeated ear infections in our dog? She said "Oh don't use "Oticleanse" - it's expensive and just cleanses the dog's ear. Put Listerine (original, not mint!) into her ear. It's an antibacterial agent." I thought and then dismissed it, and next ear infection, I said "OK, how do I do this?" She says "Pour some on a cotton ball and squeeze it in, bend down the ear flap and scrub a few seconds. She'll shake the infection loose, and then the Listerine will cure it." Well it DID. So now I clean both the cats and our dog's ears with it with their baths, never had another infection - it's been about 8 years.

fantastic.
Now, have a tip for using glimmer mist that I use. I have a box from ACOT that I taped up the flaps to make the box deeper. As this box is 12 x 12 +, it is perfect for placing my project in the box to spray with glimmer mist. The sides are deep enough that it also helps me to keep the mist at a good distance from the project.

What? You don't use ivory carpeting? Silly you.
But that's really a good second choice, ha ha!! I'll remember that for my misting!
Actually, these were two 16x20 canvases. I'm painting my brother's bike on it for his birthday - front half of bike on one half, second half on the other. I wanted to subdue the background (the bike is charcoal) before I put in the details, and thought "GLIMMER MIST" - so next time maybe if I keep it at least from under the air vent - it'll be ok.
