Would you rather only be able to whisper or only be able to shout?
OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.
Whisper. Hands down.
I agree. Whisper is preferable to shout.

whisper. It's amazing how well my students listen when my voice "gives out" for a few days
I think I would prefer if I could only whisper. I rarely shout at all and it would be too hard of a transition. Plus my husband already says I don't talk loud enough for anyone to hear.

seems to me if you shout all the time, you would lose your voice anyway, so may as well whisper to start

Whisper. I find that when there is an argument that if you lower your voice it not only calms things down a bit - but often the other person has to stop their yelling to start listening.
