Christmas Wreath class will be right here.....
so gather your supplies...or just check in to see how we are doing. I realize that there is no way you can complete an entire wreath in the amount time we have here.....so I will give the directions fairly quickly, so you can work on your challenges and fast scraps...and come back and work on this later tonight when the crop has finished up. I will have a category in the gallery for everyone to put their finished projects.

Re: Christmas Wreath class will be right here.....
For this wreath you will need a 12 inch styrofoam wreath. I prefer the half wreath forms that you can get at all your local craft stores. ( This was my original intent for this project, but due to my broken ankle I am unable to drive and my darling husband offered to pick a wreath for me so I did not have to go out. This was so sweet of him that I could not tell him he got me the wrong one when he brought it home. So mine will be a little different than my original plan.) You will also need this awesome paper pack called Merry Christmas by Echo Park.

along with a stapler and staples and a hot glue gun.

Re: Christmas Wreath class will be right here.....
I started by cutting each of the papers in this set in 6 inch sections. We only need 6 inches of each sheet, so you cans set the other 6 inches aside for some great cards, layouts or other Christmas projects.

The next step is to cut these pieces into strips. I cut 4 1 inch strips and 4 1/2 inch strips from each paper. You can do all 1 inch strips or all 1/2 inch strips, but I like the variation. You could really do any size or variation of sizes that you would like. It is really up to you.

Then I cut each of my strips into 2 inch pieces. Yeah, you end up with lots of little pieces. I like to stack them so that half of each pattern are in each stack ( does that make sense?)Image

These steps took me about 25 minutes to complete.

The next step is to fold( but not crease) each of your pieces in half and staple.

I like to line mine up with edge of the silver strike plate on my stapler..that way i know they are all stapled the same.

this took me about an hour and I ended up with a pile like this...

At this point you need to grab the wreath and your hot glue gun.

I started by glueing one of my 1 inch pieces to the outer edge of my wreath.

Then I glued another 1 inch piece beside it. The next row was a 4 of my 1/2 inch strips, layered over the edges of my larger strips. (Covering the whole wreath form, if you have the half wreath it will take more to cover the width of the form, but you will not have to do the sides and inside)

Then continue layering your strips all the way around your wreath form.
