Hurricanes!
We have a very, very active Atlantic this year. The National Hurricane Center has this picture posted up, which is kind of scary, if you ask me:
Let's pray that all of them go away like Danielle did. More are coming from Africa... hopefully they all stay away from the Caribbean and the US.
I will pray for that too! My best friend lives in florida (she is center central) but if its strong enough it could still do some damage.

I will be praying right along with you since DD and baby Grandson live in central Florida.

My prayers are with you, your family and all who could be affected.
We have to forgive! If we don't forgive, we'll get left behind! janet rose

It looks like Earl is your biggest threat with a stormy Tuesday, but not a direct hit. Hopefully it will only be a rainy day with no wind. I'll be watching and crossing my fingers for you! The Atlantic sure picked up in a hurry.
Lynda
Yes it did! And there's a Tropical Storm right behind Earl named Frank, I think. Check this out:
I understand how you feel. I live in Louisiana and we are always worried about hurricanes. Let's pray that we are spared from hurricanes this year.

I agree...I live on the coast in New Jersey and its been YEARS since we've had anything other than tidal flooding from a hurricane! The last one I can recall was Gloria back in 1985. Some later reports on Danielle had it barreling straight for the Jersey Coast so I'm glad that one fizzled. Hopefully we all go into Fall unscathed by any named storms!
On the bright side August is the worst month for hurricanes and it's almost over. I hope they all stay away. I do not want to relive our "Wilma" experience again.
On a molecular level, I'm very busy.
Got parents on the east coast, right on the coast, of Florida, sister in Central Florida, Brother in the keys. Will pray for all of those to take a path out to sea!
I am on the beach in South Carolina, and yes, my eyes are peeled to the water also. Danielle is no threat, but I am watching Earl very close, and behind him. But as usual, I am as ready as I can be. If we evacuate, we know what goes and what stays, and with my fear of storms, anything above 1 , I am definitely gone, and even a 1 can make me leave if conditions are right. So you in PR, stay safe, its that time of year for us!
Susan
Well, September is the most active month. And it seems this one is no exception.
This is the latest:
It seems it will touch us a bit. This is bad news for me, as this means I might have to move the office during that time!

I always thought blizzards were bad - until I saw hurricane damage! Stay safe!!
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.
I guess ignorance is bliss because I was very happy until I read all this! I live in the Florida Panhandle and we get really bad storms there...like Katrina. I am so glad that we were not any closer to New Orleans than 200 miles because we lost our roof in that storm! You all know about New Orleans and what it was like there afterward. September and October are the middle of Hurricane season and we are praying that no one gets hit!

Well guys, it's official. Hurricane Earl will be here tomorrow night.
Hopefully the Hurricane won't cause much trouble/damage. I've always lived on the southern East Coast; so, I understand your worries.
