I was wondering if any of you scrappin gals have a daughter about the same age as my daughter that would want to be pen pals.
She had a pen pal a while ago and the girl had some hard times in her family and stopped writing.
She really enjoyed having a pen pal so she asked me to see if anyone here may want to write to her.
She is 13
loves music and horses.
going into the 8th grade ( we homeschool)
really really wants a cell phone
I wish I did. I remember having pen pals when I was a young girl. It was so much fun. I had about 80. I was trying to have one in every state and in as many countries as possible. I think I got my first pen pal from one of the teen magazines. They use to let kids put in an ad looking for pen pals. I don't know if they still do. I hope she finds a new one soon!

My granddaughter Kayla is almost 12 (Aug 21)...she lives in North Carolina. Right now she's on a missionary trip with her church (in Mexico) but I can ask her when she gets home on Monday. She might enjoy that.

that sounds fun, but my oldest is only 8. However, she loves horses and music

My granddaughter might be interested. She just turned 12 in July, loves horses and music. I will see tomorrow if it might be something she would like to do.
My grandaughter Rebekah turned 13 on April 24th. She had a twin brother who passed away when they were almost 3 months. She is very bright and loves her family, loves our Lord and is a beautiful person. She does have a mild form of Aspergers. She did want a pen pal but the girl that said she would do it never answered her letters, so I am she would love the opportunity to try again. Let me know if your daughter is interested.

Mine is 14 and also loves horses. She couldn't live without her cell phone though so not sure you want that influence She'll be in 9th grade this year and will start High School.
Here is a layout of her and her fave horse:

My kids are only 1 and 2 so I'm of no help there, but, I have a younger brother who just turned 13 this month. He is also homeschooled and my Mom has been looking for a penpal for him. He lives in new Brunswick, Canada. Plays hockey, participates in Scouts Canada, and is an animal-lover.
I just wanted to post and say I think it's great you guys are setting your kids up with pen pals, I had a few when i was younger but when i got older it just stopped, mostly my fault lol.
Letters? Actual letters?!!
