I downloaded some free alphabet templates and wanted to use them in my program, My Memory Suite. When I copied the file over, the entire set came over. I don't see how to use just the letters individually. I'm new to using templates from other sites other than from My Memory Maker so any help would be great. I am starting a blog on digital scrapbooking because I want to learn all I can about the subject and become a pro. www.scrapdigitally.com
I've been wanting to learn to digi scrap for a long time, and it's one of my New Year's goals.

crop the one you want out with photo editing tools and then DON'T save changes.

I know with my alpha's, I usually save them all individually, so you don't have to crop them.

You may want to sign up for www.scraphd.com. The program is super simple and it's all done online. We'll be launching again for CHA
Do you have a good photo editing program in mind? I am using My Memory Suite and do not have that option. Thanks for replies![/quotecrop the one you want out with photo editing tools and then DON'T save changes.
There might be a couple of options. Do you have any selection tools - these are ones that make dotted lines around a certain area you select (we call them "marching ants." You might be able to use that to draw a selection around the letter you want and then copy it to another document. The other thing is, do you have an erase tool. Open the document, then do a "save as" or duplicate the document. Then erase everything but what you want? If you don't mind my asking, where do you get the alphabet.

PhotoShop Elements. Most of the tutorials are geared toward it.jessctr wrote:Do you have a good photo editing program in mind? I am using My Memory Suite and do not have that option. Thanks for replies![/quotecrop the one you want out with photo editing tools and then DON'T save changes.
I would tend to agree about Photoshop Elements - there is a crazy amount of resources for it - both in tutorials and in add-ons when you are ready for those.

Right now I have just been using Picasa. I don't have Photoshop yet because of the overwhelming learning curve I have heard about. If my blog takes off ever, I plan on buying it. I am using Serif Digital Scrapbooking as of last week and will check it out to see if it will do the same. I downloaded a bunch of free kits from computerscrapbook.com. That is there I got the digi alphabet.
