German Glass Glitter
Has anyone used this? I'd like to hear what people think before I buy some. The photos I've seen look amazing! I looked for it here on ACOT but it's not in the store.

Re: German Glass Glitter
It looks beautiful, if it's real glass though is it smooth glass, or are you going to have to use gloves? Is it safe enough that if it sheds a little will it hurt anyone to step on it?

I was wondering the same thing. I read the description and it does warn to use carefully as it is real glass.

What did you use it on? A LO or altered project? I'd love to see pics of the end results. Did you have to use gloves with it?

Re: German Glass Glitter
I just saw glass glitter somewhere in the past week. I wondered how hard it would be to wok now - now I know! ![Happy :)](./images/smilies/smile_16.png)

Re: German Glass Glitter
I used glass on my advent calendar that I posted last week. It is pretty sharp, but not so much that you need to wear gloves when using. I did have some "sprinkles" on my desk and I went to wipe them away with my hand and wound up with a few little cuts.
The sparkle can't be beat though!

Re: German Glass Glitter
I used some in Jenni Bowlin's class when she came out to SA last year and it's awesome stuff! It's very fine, a bit 'harder' than glitter, sparkles like crazy! No need to wear gloves and you apply it the same way as glitter!

Re: German Glass Glitter
I still have some of this - it's wonderful. The fine doesn't cut anything but they have some that's not so fine that will cause tiny pricks if you're not careful or if any gets on the floor. It's well worth it though.
Martha Stewart started out with this a few years ago before switching to the other stuff and then finally labeling her own. I think you can tell when she switched. Her older holiday glittered crafts are far more elegant.

Re: German Glass Glitter
I think I may buy a bottle to try it out. I'm really curious how it looks in person.

We used it like regular glitter. We used glossy accents as glue. Let me take a quick picture and post it here for you:

This close up is blurry but the best I could do:
