Hi from Northern WI.
I am new to this stuff.
And much confused. How can you download a paper on a printer?

The pages say 12x12 but my printer only does regular computer sized paper.

Do I need to get another printer?

any help is appreciated.

I know I am gonna love doing this :-D

Hi and welcome!
Are you interested in digital scrapbooking? If so, you can get a 12x12 printer, or there are many places that will print 12x12 prints for you at a pretty good price.

Re: Hi from Northern WI.
Welcome to ACOT! You would download the paper to your computer, then you could print it out at 8x8, 8 1/2 x 11, 6x6 or you could purchase a wide format printer.

Re: Hi from Northern WI.
Welcome to ACOT Gail. If you are going to digi scrap, I would suggest doing 8x8 size LO and can print on your normal printer. If you want 12 X !2, then you can purchase a wide printer but I've heard they are very expensive. I thing a lot of the 12 X 12 digi people have their prints done at places like Cosco. Hopefully some more digi people will jump on this thread and tell you where they get their prints done. I know there are a lot of places that do them. When I do digi, I print my own in 8 X 8 size. When I paper scrap, I use 12 x 12.

Thanks for all the welcomes...
I think I am getting this idea. Correct me if I am wrong.

This site/store gives you both the option to down load if you have some sort of program??

and can purchase some brads and embelishments??

Is this right ?

I couldn't figure out how to download a embelishment and being flat would be so silly ?

I am really a novice on this stuff. but winter is coming and I needed a project LOL

Hi Gail,
Welcome from a fellow Wisconsinite!

ACOT offers products in the store for both traditional and digital scrapbookers. Of course you can order the traditional and it is mailed out to you.

I scrap both ways. I download digital files into a folder and create layouts using Photoshop (PhotoShop Elements is commonly used). You can create a layout completely with the program, adding in brads and such that have drop shadows and appear 3D, although they are flat IRL. I use scrapbookpictures.com to print out my 12x12 digital layouts. They have a good sale several times a year and the quality is amazing.

It sounds like you will need to visit the digi forum for tips on getting started with digital. It is fun!

Hi, I'm new here too, tho not new to scrapbooking. This site seems much more friendly, more so than the 'other one' I used to visit.

I may as well introduce myself, lol. I'm Nancy. I have 2 little boys and a cat that keep me more than busy. I've tried the digi thing, but really like my paper and paste much better. I've been scrapbooking for 3-4 years now and have completed only one album, yikes. Hope to hang out here and get some great ideas.

Hi, still a beginner. I have decided to get photoshop elements.
I downloaded the "Spring it on papers" and didn't really read the directions so it came out jibberish ;-)

I didn't say save it, just dowload to a temp flolder and of course it's gone. Since cleanup was done.

Can I download it again after I get the photoshop program ? (before it expires?)

thanks
