What technique would you like to learn?
I tried to play with alcohol inks yesterday and I was not happy with the results.

I like LO's with 3 to 9 photos on them.

Definetly paper. I like the idea of digi, but it looks bad printed out.

Complete a page? Are you crazy? I think the last I finished was of the last time we sheared the alpacas.

I love online crops! Never been in real life, not sure if I want to?

Creeps?... Hummm... would have to be spiders.

Both, depends on what is going on. I like early better though, can't sleep when fun is to be had or things to be done.

The next page I'll be working on are some small portraits of my maternal grandfather. They are wallet size and in a folder my Mom gave me with some wonderful pictures and memorabilia of my him. The pictures would have been taken when he was a professor at NYU and the most recent of when he was Dean of the Graduate and Undergraduate School of Business at NYU. Now called Stern School of Business.

Do you have your own scrap room?

No, I have my own 12 x 24 scrap building which is being renovated from our first office building to a scrap studio. My husband had it moved to the ranch from Houston.

Have you ever been to a crop, either online or in real life?

Yes to both. I've been scrapping for 2 1/2 years and have attended 70% of the crops our group has since I first started to scrap. I love them. My group gets together this Saturday and next month is our yearly retreat. My first online crop was here this past weekend (NSD '09). Very confusing for me as I didn't have anyone to show me the ropes. Next one will be better.....and I AM SO HOOKED!

I had an interesting way of finding out about the crop online. I had not been to a cherry on top since I found it because I moved from our Angleton home to our ranch to work with our cattle show string. I had a very slow moving air card so I pretty much only checked email. I've been on Satellite DSL for about two weeks. Lost my mojo last Wednesday night and came to scroll through product and find cherries to see if any product would jog the brain. I thought I'd try it out the crop. I had a ball! Thank you!

What gives you the creeps?

I love toads, frogs and snakes basically love all animals. Ok so I'm weird! If it isn't poisonous or will kill me I'll sure hold it. But what really gives me the creeps is the very thought of eating frogs legs. The other thing I can't stand and I think it comes from summer swim team practice as a kid, June bugs in the hair. I could never understand why we couldn't stay in the AC to practice.

Are you a night-owl or an early-bird?

Let's see it is currently 1:13 am CST....yeah night-owl! Drives my DH nuts! He's a real early-bird.

What is your favorite "It's 5 o'clock somewhere" beverage?

Well I'm not a heavy drinker now. If I've been out all day on the ranch I enjoy a hot coffee, cocoa, or tea on the porch in the winter. When it gets warmer I enjoy I love a cool glass of ice tea on the porch swing. If I'm into treating myself when we go out to eat which isn't often I love to have a margarita or a glass of wine. Now in college it was a whole different story....five o'clock I was eating dinner, six o'clock in the shower, eight o'clock in the bar. Class every semester at 8:00am....the life of an Agriculture Economics major. I seem fixated on college the last couple of months. I've been on Facebook for about two years when I realized I could find a friend I lost touch with through her son. All college age kids on Facebook right, mine were. It worked. I'd sign on every so often. One of my other sorority sisters found me. That was 18 months ago. Then two months ago it was like all of my sorority sisters were on Facebook. We've been catching up and posting pictures from 30 years ago....just having a ball communicating with each other again. Then our big brothers started to show up as well...oh are they a riot!

How did you find ACOT??
Found it years ago when I was going to school in San Diego and just really getting into SB (i've been collecting stickers and "scrapbooking" since I was about 11 (25 now). Found it again while at BFF's house scrapping one night (it had to be a crop because I did a card challenge)
What technique would you like to learn?
liquid color. ie paint, stamping, puff paints, etc. I do some stamping, but it's kind of hit and miss. But I'm not sure I'm willing to put up with the messiness of liquid color (I prefer using chalk inks when stamping)
How many photos do you usually place on a layout?
Depends. Not less than 2, but usually 3-4. I often have a lot of pictures to tell the story because I hate journaling.
Are you into digital or paper layouts?
PAPER. I love my textures, fabric, ribbon, dimensions, all that jazz.

Just finished two today (yay!)

Do you have your own scrap room?
Yes. It's combined with my library and computer space, but it's all out in the open with TONS of natural light. I'm very happy with it.

Yes to both. Crops at a LSS and one about 90 miles away at a store called Green Tangerines (which is one of the coolest sb stores ever. My first online crop was NSD here! Often, Sis (immom2anc) and I get together to scrap.

Typically, a night-owl. Though that's kinda had to change to be awake at work (though it still takes me about 2 hours to completely wake up)

What? I have to pick just one? I like a nice Reisling or Muscato, or a pina colada, or a lemondrop if I'm really wanting to drink.

What technique would you like to learn? I would like to learn how to use stamping techniques. I do use this a little, but I'm not very confident .

How did you find ACOT?? -- When Traci Reed used to sell here, I became familar with the site, but since making the CT team, I'm now becoming apart of the forum/community here!

What technique would you like to learn? -- I would love to fin tune my extraction technique better!

What technique would you like to learn? I want to learn to use PSE 6 so that I can do hybrid layouts


How many photos do you usually place on a layout? It depends on the mood I am setting with the layout. Sometimes I use the same photo but change its coloring. Recently I have been using 2-3 photos per page in varing sizes.



Are you into digital or paper layouts? Currently I am using paper layouts and don't want to lose that, however there are some really cool techniques I want to learn to use so that I can hybridize my layouts.

What page/theme are you working on right now (or did you complete most recently)? I don't scrap in themes. I set tones based on the subject of the photos and the coloring found in the photos. If there is a really cool paper line that I want to use, I switch the photo to black and white or sepia and make it work with the paper.

Do you have your own scrap room? YES! I have a studio actually with custom space organizers and custom built file cabinets for my 12X12 paper so that it is sorted the way that I like it and makes it easiest for me to find!

Have you ever been to a crop, either online or in real life? Yes but prefer to crop in my own room. I have all of my stuff and know where it all is and that makes me happy and less stressed when I scrap

What gives you the creeps? Spiders, snakes, and this creepy guy that comes into work.

Are you a night-owl or an early-bird? Mornings are for those nutty people like my husband! I can stay up til 4 but only do mornings because work requires it!

My name is Teresa , live in florida with husband of 25 years . ..with 2 daughters and 2 doggies..I have been scrapbooking since 1997--from the moment i saw it i was IN LOVE with the idea of it.. never thought i would years later have a room full of supplies and books and stuff..but it is a great hobby you enjoy doing it but in the end when they are done its something you enjoy all over again !

At the moment i am laid off -- so i am hoping to get on the treadmill and scrapbook in my FREE time...I plan on getting daughters book done this year.. I am also getting paid to do a book as a gift for someone for a christmas present so that will be fun ..

Thanks for a great community -- i have posted on the general board asking questions and everyone is super nice in giving great advice..

Hi all, my name is Darla. I am aka SrappinAlrad on scrapbook.com, although it's been years since I've updated my LO gallery there. I guess I'm interested in becoming a part of the family here because I would like to be part of a slightly smaller community, and although the MyPlace area of scrapbook.com is really nice, overall I like the site design of ACOT better. I'm hoping to make some friends online and possibly in real life if anyone lives in Las Vegas, NV or Henderson, NV or nearby. I'm not familiar with any of the local scrapping stores around here so maybe someone can guide me? I spent the last two years of my life in and out of hospitals with various conditions arising from an underlying disease called Cushing's. I had a pituitary tumor that was causing the disease, which I have since had removed and I am recovering. I am 30 years old, a mother of 3 and happily married. I've been scrapping since my oldest daughter was born in late September 2000. I don't have a lot of fancy gadgets or any die cutting machines. I've done many many many LOs and looking back there are quite a few I would like to do over again to make them look better. I have some really nice LOs and some I am embarrassed about. I do primarily 12x12 book, but I have created a few mini books. Although I don't do digital scrapbooking, I have tried it to help out a friend and I was pretty good at it, but I don't have a printer or any software for it at the moment. I am a Mac user for the most part, but I'm on a PC right now because my Mac is in for repair.

What technique would you like to learn? I would like to learn how to do more crafts beyond scrappin, such as making unique decorative gift boxes.

How many photos do you usually place on a layout? I try to get as many as I can on a page usually because I have SO many pictures.
