The only parts I watched were when I was at a crop and that's what everyone else wanted to watch.

nope. and I've been mocking people who have been so obessed. They weren't fanatical when he was alive, so why now? It's not like he produced anything new in the last decade or so :)

I am sort of a news freak and he has been all over the news. And I was a fan too. So, yes, I have been watching.

It is hard to miss all the MJ coverage. I feel for the children and his mother. This mess must for hard for them.

Re: Question of the day 7/9
I havent watched any of it! My dh was (or is) a fan but I just never got into him....some of his early stuff yes but I am not obsessed and I do think he turned into a freak! Too much money and the need to spend it on odd things and facial procedures.
It is sad that the children will grow up without a father but what is with the name Blanket?? Prince and Paris isnt bad........

It makes me feel sorry for Farrah not getting as much attention.

Nope. I don't really have TV at home (just what I can watch on the internet) so I haven't watched any of it.

Re: Question of the day 7/9
I had the Jackson memorial on while I was at my computer. It actually was a very nice service. I got weird feelings, however, when they rolled out his casket to the song "Soon and Very Soon, we are going to see the King"...

did they mean the casket of "The King of Pop" or Jesus the King as the song is intended? Maybe I looked at it all wrong.

I thought the rest was very nice though, but it is definitely a "sad" story all around.

I have watched it because it is being covered all over the place. I wasn't a fan, but I can't look away watching how everyone else reacts. I didn't know that he was such good friends with Brooke Shields. Everyone is talking and worried abou the older children. I watched a special about Debbie Rowe the other night. She is as freaky, if not more, than MJ was! Where is the youngest one's mother?

Re: Question of the day 7/9
Didn't watch any of it and I grew up listening to him (I am his age). Loved his younger music, but stopped listening after Thriller (that was the last of his music that I really enjoyed).

The only good thing that came from all of this was that Farrah's family was left alone to grieve in private and I am sure they are grateful for it.

$25 to go to a memorial is disgusting (that is not Michael's fault so I am not blaming that one on him).

I am so sick of hearing about all of it. I wish people would move on and get over it. I honestly don't understand all the hype. IMO it is all stupid.

I was a fan in the 80's.

I watched a bit of the memorial and cried when his dd spoke. I think it was for show rather than her choice.... I felt horrible for her.

I watched the memorial and I thought it was absolutely wonderful, it really made him seem "real", especially when his daughter spoke.
