Do you use self tanner...either lotion or spray..............or do you go to a tanning salon?
I never ever used to bu I usually lay out at least once a week, but lately all mt days off have been rainy and cloudy so I am thinking of buying one of the lotions.....and remotely even thinking of going to a tanning bed for a few times. I don't need a dark tan or anything, just something to show it is summer time and I live in Florida....and my pasty white just is not working for me right now.
I haven't used on lately but i have used the Jergen's one and it does work. What i like about it is that its a gradual coloring and never made me look Orange.
In my younger years i did do Alot of Tanning salon's until a friend was diagnosed with skin cancer after being a constant tanner.

My hair stylist passed away in December from Melanoma from her years of tanning in salons she worked in, so NO tanning for me!
I have used the Jergens Natural Glow stuff in the past, but haven't done anything so far this year. I'm embracing my ghostly whiteness right now!

I just spend time in the sun, usually it is after 4 pm so the rays aren't that bad. I found that getting a good basecoat at the beginning of summer usually protects me from sunburn.
Never used a tanning bed.

Neither because skin cancer runs heavily on my dad's side of the family and he had 3rd stage melanoma several years ago. I'm just not willing to chance it.
all natural sun.

I have olive skin so I tend to tan very easily
I went to tanning beds when I was younger but my grandma has had melanoma several times and that scared me straight!
I always use at least 30 SPF when outdoors
I tried spray tanning once but ended up looking like an Oompa Loompa and the smell was awful:greenconfused:
Does anyone else notice the odor of self tanners?

Big N O to either.
I use spf 30+ when I go in the sun.
When will lily white finally be understood as healthy?

I use a self tanner and always use an SPF of 30 when I'm out running. Not only is the sun harmful in a skin cancer way, it ages you really fast...wish someone had mentioned that when I was in my 20s
and yes, Tara, I do notice a bad smell from most self tanners. The only one so far that has not had that smell for me is the Sephora brand. (true story, not just a plug for where I work!)

I get ghostly white in the winter so I almost always go to the tanning bed. This year I decided not to tan so I would have more scrappy money. I am getting a decent tan the natural way.
lol...if you saw me- you would know I dont need either. Im very dark naturally. I go out work in the yard for a few minutes and always look brownish. People always think I layout or go to the tanning salon... I have native american roots but the actual full blood was about 100 years ago. somehow the genes got passed to me and not my siblings. I look hispanic mix and they look white... Living in Texas many assume Im a hispanic mix.
I usually get tan from being out on the beach or swimming, or just being outdoors
I am in the sun now only...only thing..today..June 5th..it's snowing outside!
I have tried the stuff in the bottle, but was either streaky or stripes! haha! I don't like the feeling being in one of those sun bed coffin things.

Neither for me...
I used to tan all of the tan but skin cancer is running pretty high with my parents so I'm trying to avoid that. My mother's face isn't looking very good.
Besides, a true Southern Belle is lily white.

I'm allergic to self-tanners, but thankfully I live in Michigan, so it's OK that I'm pale. I try to get a little color in the summer, but I still wear spf 30 when I do sit in the sun. Keeps me from burning, and I just get a tiny little bit of color, which is fine with me!
I don't use either. I'm naturally pasty white and and burn very easily. My grandfather has also had two melanomas removed, so I take that very seriously.
Neither... I used to do the tanning bed thing in my younger days but now it freaks me out and I can't seem to find a self tanner that doesn't smell funky. I do use a powdered bronzer on my face.
