do you buy scrapbook stuff based on a project you know you are going to work on or just randomly?
I've noticed that lately I am buying stuff when I have a project to work on. Like tonight I placed an order for stuff for the pictures from my birthday & from Career Day at my old high school. I've been doing that a lot lately.
Does anyone else do this?
I'm starting to - thank goodness! I have so many things that don't seem to go with anything.
A little of both.

Finally - now that I have started buying for particular projects I spend less and use more.
I have lots of paper that I bought just because I liked it.

I do both. If I see something I like I will get it. But I also will order supplies for specific pictures or events. A few days before the prom I picked up papers, embellishments and the like I knew I would use for their formal wear.
I used to buy for projects, then I became totally addicted to having it all!
Unfortunately, I just buy because I like it and then find the photos to go with it! This is why I have way more stuff around here than I need.

Usually I buy what I like and tend to use more often on my projects. For example, my dd is a girly-girl and tends to wear pink. If I find cute pink, glittery, or frilly products, I add them to my cart. I love scallops and usually buy products with those too. If I have photos that I have already taken and find products that would match, I add those too. I think I just like shopping.

When I am looking through the store, I put stuff into my basket for a person or project that I have in mind. And just because I like it. But, mostly, by the time I receive it, I have forgot why I bought it.

I used to do it that way but now I buy what I like because I know I will use it ...
Ummm, my goal is to buy what will go with what I am doing, but I always seem to buy a bit of everything and way too much.

I've done this too. I ordered stuff in my last ACOT order & forgot what it was for! Oh well. I'm sure the project idea will come back to me soon enough.
I try to do it based on the pics i have.
I try hard to stick to current or upcoming projects. I get in enough trouble that way! Sometimes random items take my eye though, and I just have to have them!
Have a blessed day!
