Wow! I can't believe we haven't needed this thread since 2007! I see some very familiar names on here that aren't around anymore, and I do believe we need a good picture war now and then! LOL! Memories!

Re: Social Microcosm - revisited
Well, I for one, am glad I missed the drama that led to this...I HATE drama. I'll usually avoid it at all costs.
But I found that post to be really interesting, and I think, for the most part it's true. At least it is for me and the few people I've met in real life from message boards. I was always afraid of meeting online friends in person because I thought they might be very different in real life and we might not get that same lovin' feelin' as we had online (don't take that the wrong way, those of you with dirty minds ), but that hasn't been the case at all.
I hope it wasn't meant to be hurtful, because I found it really interesting.

I don't think Amy's original thread was at all meant to be hurtful, and I most definitely did not bring it btt to be hurtful...just to bring back fond memories and for anyone who missed the orginal point of the thread to read it, because it is interesting! I apologize if anyone feels I was directing it at them, because I wasn't.

Indeed you are. And your wit and timing always make me smile!lilkoala3 wrote: Yeah, I'm awesome in real life and on the board.
Laura Fiore - I too am an avoider of drama and so I'm glad to have missed any items that might have prompted the resurfacing of this.

So the fact that this thread was resurrected after two years, on the same day there was a conflict on the board is merely a coincidence?
Sorry. Not buying it.
On a molecular level, I'm very busy.

I don't remember Laura being anywhere near that thread.
GOTTA love it when people start accusing people of things left and right! I had that other thread LOCKED so the drama would end. Talk about beating a dead horse!

Re: Social Microcosm - revisited
M'Lee you still not getting it that I never posted the price as being in your face. I am positive my hard working hubby makes less money than your family. And those who make more, work for it. You once posted that people shouldn't be taxed more for working harder and earning more money. You have no idea how much it took to make the dress purchase possible. Which was never about the dollar amount anyway. I could post all your gorgeous layouts on here and accuse you of spending too much money on scrapbooking supplies but it's nobody's business and not what I like about you anyway. The reason it especially hurt was because I thought you did know me better than that. I got you a spot on Kami's creative team didn't I? I have PMed you and told you I admire you sticking up for your beliefs, even when they go against the grain. I think you are a neat lady and a fantastic scrapper. So I have no idea why you are trying to make me out to be some kind of jerk. It's seriously hurtful and spiteful.
Re: Social Microcosm - revisited
BOTH of you are representing acot right now and I advice you both to just let it go.
I know feelings were hurt on both sides, but like this thread points out, people sometimes do not see eye to eye, especially when it is on a message board and you cannot see the person's expressions or tone of voice. But I think enough has been said on this matter--we just had a great crop with new people coming to the board, I would hate for them to think this is how it always is.

M'Lee. I apologize, I never saw the request.
Re: Social Microcosm - revisited
I locked the thread from yesterday per Diana's request. She started the thread and has that right instantly.
As for this thread, it has been around forever, and all in all it is not a bad thread, granted I have not read it in awhile, but from what I remember it was just a reminder that we all see things differently. If you could point out something different (via pm) I will look into it.
