 Cricut newbie here since Christmas.  I only own 6 cartridges but I have only paid $73.00 total for them.
1 came with the machine
2 came with the rebate -(thanks for the info Cherries!)-just had to pay the $8.00 shipping for them
3 came off of Ebay and I have paid $21.00, $23.00 and $21.00 for them
Total ----$73.00!!!!
