You are lucky to live in FL, lots of fun vacation ideas there.
Busch Gardens in Tampa
Sea World
Universal Studios
NASA Space Center
Cruises are always leaving from FL, so you could get an amazing bargain since you don't have to pay airfare.
I heard Key West is fun, but have never been there myself.
Those are just a few I can think of off the top of my head. I love vacationing!

Well, I live in New England and love to go to FL for vacation - we go in March.
Why not head up north in the summer/early fall?

Many years ago before we moved out west, we took our kids down to Disney World on vacation. Along the way we stopped in Williamsburg - incredibly interesting plus there are many other great historic sites nearby plus we also went to DC to visit the sights and the Smithsonian, and St. Augustine. I'd highly recommend any of them. Sometime I'd love to go back and visit Charleston too.

I have friends who vacation at Myrtle Beach, SC every year and love it.

We took a disney cruise in March...we all had a blast! Or maybe try one of those indoor water slide parks.

I really want to go on a cruise but they are so expensive. I have a 6 year old so I would have to make it kid friendly but thats not a problem.
TIA
Oooo! I'd be all over the cruises too!! Good luck deciding!
Trish ~ It's all fun and games until somebody loses an EYELET!
Go to Alaska... Actually, I love Alaska, but it'd be quite a change from what you're used to!

Can't you get cheap flights from the East coast to Europe ?
You should be able to get good deals on cruises from Florida. Or how about Bermuda?

I have never been to Florida but I have a sister who lives in Virginia so we have visited there a few times and if your family likes history, there is alot there plus Washington DC is also a great place for that. We have been to the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee - beautiful and I have heard from my sister that it is even better in North Carolina - quieter. We have also been to the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas and really enjoyed their beauty plus this past summer we spent a week in Glacier National Park in Montana - absolutely gorgeous!

if you ever want to go on a cheap cruise check out vacationstogo.com we are talking 70% off cruises if you can go within 60 days. We are going to do that next summer for our 20th anniversary/ds graduation.

When the girlls were younger, all they ever wanted to do were amusement park vacations. Although not country music fans, one of the best vacations we took with them was to Dollyworld, Nashville, and Graceland. Spent time in all three areas and had a blast. Dollyworld was a lot of fun for the girls and of course searching for Elvis was tons of laughs.

There are little one day cruises you can take too-check those out they may have Florida resident discounts.
On a molecular level, I'm very busy.
we have young kids so every year we try to visit a different zoo. After we pick a zoo we research other spots around the area. Then plan to trip seeing attractions around our chosen zoo. It's great to explore areas we wouldn't normally chose. Were are looking forward to our 6th zoo stop very soon.
