Bobby (my hubby, not my son) came to kiss me goodbye and he had a glass in his hand which I didn't see and then knocked out when I went to hug him.

Oh no!! I hate stains!!! Maybe you'll be able to get most of it out.
I know the feeling. Sometimes it makes me rethink drinking red wine. lol
Luckily our new place has a nice brown carpet so it's not as bad. But last night at my friend's house her dog knocked over her glass of wine...red wine...on her cream carpet. Ick!!
Anyway...I hope you can get it all out {{HUGS}}

My dh spilled red koolaid all over our carpet and you can still see it after I steam cleaned the carpet numerous times. I always drink sugar free cherry koolaid.

Club soda will usually work no matter how old the stain is.
You buy them in the 6 pack size, take the bottle top off, cover with thumb, shake and spritz the carbinated foam onto the stain, blot, repeat until it is gone....always has worked for me but it has to have a lot of carbination, so once you open it and use it you have to throw it away, it will not work again

For red wine stains, I spray OxiClean on it and it comes right out.
I keep a spray bottle of it handy. Add a scoop of the powder and fill it up with water.
Shake the bottle to mix it, then loosen the top and let it sit until it stops effervesing.
We use it on cat and dog yack, too. It works like a charm!
OH---and we only buy the cheapie brand of Oxi powder.
If you don't have any OxiClean, try using hydrogen peroxide. Works great on blood stains, too!
Not sure about red Kool-Aid........haven't spilled that on anything since we don't buy it.

Owwww! And that's why we still have linoleum on the floors at 55 & 61! We have no carpet anywhere. I sure hope the advice you've been given gets the stain out!
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.
