Hi! I'm Shannon from Orange County California. I have been a shopper on ACOT for a while and a lurker on the site for some time. I finally registered in the community last week during the crop. I lurked during the crop all weekend as I was just coming off a surgery! I finally decided to introduce myself!
I'm 40 years old, a wife to a sweet, sweet man) and mother to a six year old son. I love to scrap and make cards but I do more shopping than crafting at this point! I finally was able to start really getting into my paper crafting late last year when I felt my son was getting more independent and my health had improved tremendously! I really feel like I've accomplished something when I do really get into the scrapping and card making because I can have something for my family and the cards are great for everyone (and yes, the added bonus of enjoying making everything myself)! I love to take lots of classes and go to crops and/or retreats and I have learned a few more crafting techniques and tools in the last year and I love making little books and other paper crafts too!
I look forward to meeting so many of you in the forum!

I get to California 4 or 5 times a year because my dd and family live in Burbank and I need to see my grandchildren. I miss them alot. Have you lived in California your whole life?
