Ds was in his room, I was down the hall in the livingroom getting dd ready for a nap when....BANG then.....WWAAAAAHHHHH!!
I run into ds's room and he is on the floor holding his head which is dripping blood. I can't be exactly sure how it happened but I believe he was spinning backwards and fell onto the corner of the wall where the baseboard meets the wall. The spinning backwards quite fast is not uncommon amongst Autistic kids.
The cut on his head was not big but it was kind of deep and it gapped open. I took him to the ER and they checked him out and glued his head back together. He is going to be just fine.
Needless to say...my nerves are shot.
I totally understand! I remember when they glued Erik's head together at the ER too. Very scary!
Poor little guy. Was he freaking out as much as you or really did not care?
Here I come to save the day! Chas

Been there, done that! My son (who is now 27) did that about same thing when he was 11 or 12. It bothered me way more than it bothered him! Glad to hear your son is o.k.
Sometimes the one you think is your knight in shining armour might actually turn out to be a retard in tin foil!
Awww... poor little guy :( And poor mommy... sounds like she needs an extra glass of wine. :P My DS busted his head open on a foosball table when he was 4... needed two staples. OUCH!

YIPE!!! Such a scare! Thank Goodness he's okay.
I have a question though----how does he "spin backwards"?? I can't figure that out for the life of me, Rhonda. But I'm not afraid to ask, at least.
