When do your kids go back to school?

Seems like they just finished up. Now the stores are having there sales on school supplies! My dd starts back on August 26th. Seems a bit early...I grew up in NY..we didn't go back until after Labor day! So what about your schools?

The school that dh works at part time starts back on Aug 27th.
I remember not going back until the day after Labor Day too.

Our kids come back August 20th...it is too early! For some reason, they have this mad rush to be finished by Memorial Day. It's a heck of alot cooler in May and the beginning of June than at the end of August, but the administrators don't care...their offices are air-conditioned!

Our early date is offset by the fact that we get out in Mid May....not that it really helps when it is so hot here in August.

They are already back.......they go to year-round school so summer break is only one week long. But the official year when they move up a class is Aug 25th.

It is always the Tuesday after Labour Day here so, it is September 2nd this year.

The Wednesday after Labor Day...ummmm Sept 3rd I think.. Some days, it seems sooooooooooooo far away!!!!!

Our district sends them back the Tues after Labor Day, but a few years ago they tried to do it a full week early, and got the rath of the parents, so they put it back to after Labor Day. Now they are re-doing the calendar again to give us a full week off at Thanksgiving. Which can be nice, because it's easier to travel, but ugh, how do you plan anything with the kids there? I can't seem to get any shopping done for Thanksgiving dinner with the kids hanging around. And then with a week off at Thanksgiving it pushes the last day of school out, which I hate. Let us out early. Give us the full 10 weeks off. Dont you agree?

Xander starts Kindergarten on September 3rd. I'm debating on whether to take the whole day off to cry, or just a half day.

Ours go back on Aug 25. They had been going back on Aug 13 or 14 and then Texas made it where it can't be til around when it is.

Cassandra...you'll be fine...I sent my little girl on the big bus to kindergarten last year...and I dreaded doing it...now..school can't start early enough...LOL!
