We just had an earthquake!!!!

We just had a 5.8 earthquake centered in Chino Hills! It shook us pretty bad but we are all ok!

I felt it too! Didn't it seem like it went on forever? It was a 5.8.

Nah! Just a lot of shaking. I live about 8 miles from the epicenter, and everything just swayed around for a while. Nothing fell down!

My dd works in an office bldg. in LA and she was pretty shook up. Cell phones aren't working and she couldn't call dh.
I called him and he had stayed home today with the twins (who were sick) and they stood in the doorway and the twins held on really tight to his leg and wouldn't let go.

Wow, I'm in Upland and I thought my home was going to shake off the foundation. I was sitting at my desk and looking out the window. I could actually see the house moving back and forth and also thought my trailer was going to shake off the wood blocks. All seems fine now.

my sis called me and sounded pretty shaken up. She said she was sleeping and woke up to the whole apartment rocking back and forth.

I'm still huffing & puffing........we had just left for lunch at 11:30 when the earthquake happened & didn't feel it at all while walking. They have stopped the high rise elevators here at work so we had to take the elevators to the 11th floor & then walk up to the 18th floor.....puff....pufff.....
