A Cherry on Top
Hey ladies. I'm so sad. My Nonnie (she's 92) has taken a really bad turn. Until a few months ago she was in good health. Her mind had gone a little wonky, but she was still up and about. On Mother's Day she looked terrible. Couldn't get around without assistance and she was really struggling with remembering things. On Thursday she went to the doctor for dehydration and while in there they discovered a problem with her lung. Within 2 hours they had her diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer and gave her less than two months. Today we got the call that she's probably going to go sometime early this week. I'm heading over to see her tonight after work. It will probably be my last time to see her wonderful face. She's such an intrigal part of our lives. I'll need to sit down with the kids and explain the situation. Although she lived a fabulous life and we're glad she's going quickly and not suffering too much, it pains us to lose her. If you think about it, please send some good vibes our way. This is going to be a rough time.
