fairly inexpensive Christmas craft for 5th graders . I have to come up with something for them to make, it is 40 kids . I was thinking about maybe something they could give to someone maybe parents or grandparent s for a gift. Any suggestions welcome , Thanks girls!
How about altering a cd and making it an ornament. I made one last year for my SIL and brother. On one side I put a photo of their dog and the other side was decorated with paper and dog themed embellishments. You could have them decorate both sides, with stickers and maybe embellishments that you have around that aren't getting used.
How about an altered CD? Have them bring in a photo...or lots of times the teacher's have photos from the school photographers.
Check out the dollar stores around you. They have cheaper things you can buy to alter for sure. Such as some Monogram Letters, Notebooks, CD's or CD Cases!Good luck!
http://inkspirations.blogspot.com/2006/ ... balls.html I dont think this would be hard but i think it would take along time. or http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resou ... _ornament/ instead of stamping they could put a picture of themself in it with the year
How about doing paint swirls with clear ornaments?click here for instructions- it is easy and fun ( and cheap ) and always come out nicehttp://www.deltacrafts.com/Projects/Seasonal/C ... aments.asp It says it take a couple of days but it really doesn't. We did ours in a few hours.. Edited to add: You can also fill them with glitter or popcorn or potporri or ribbon or sequins or buttons, etc.
Wanted to clarify that I didn't make the ones in the pic- that is one offline!
Thanks girls ! I am loving the altered cd idea. I also like the pineone ornaments , I always wanted to learn how to do those. Thanks for the ideas, I knew I could count on you!Kim
