Happy Spring Cherries! Taking Sky to the Vet today for her annual checkup, then this afternoon I have to run an errand regarding my mom’s house. Still no time to scrap as if I have any time left today it’s back to the driver safety course. Hope to be done with that by the weekend so I can get back to my scraproom.
Have a great day Cherries.

What's going on with the driver safety course Barb? I must have missed your post about that.
I plan to hang some pictures on the walls of my scrapbook this morning. I've been meaning to do it for a while but there is often someone in the house who would be disturbed by the hammer, but not at this moment. I've been doing one little page for the Israel album each morning this week. It was a short trip so I should be done with those soon, I'm putting them in a bigger album with space for future trips to Israel. I'm being optimistic that we will go back often.
Here's the page I did this morning

I'm playing bridge this afternoon, hopefully the rain will hold off until the evening so I can walk back and forth.
Happy first day of Spring!

It's a dreary day here. DD has class and rehearsal - she's the stage manager for the spring play and this weekend is the dreaded "tech week" with 10-hour days! But in any case she is out all day today so I can hopefully get a lot done. I have a manuscript to work on but I also want to do / start some of the challenges. I have pics / supplies picked out for one of the Bar Mitzah challenges, one of the St. Pat's challenges, and the graphic design challenge. I find that not concentrating on any one thing helps me focus better. Weird, huh, LOL? The St. Patrick's Day challenges have helped me decide that maybe it's finally time to start my album about my trip to Ireland...in 1995
My little cousins are all married now LOL! Actually I think I did 1 or 2 layouts in 12x12 format plus it was the 90s and I had a new camera with a panoramic setting so there are a lot of oversize photos that would never work in 8x11 format. I just treated myself to a new sage green 12x12 d-ring album so I can just put the pages in as I go. that's the idea anyway. I have a travel journal that I wrote and it's stuffed with all kinds of receipts and ephemera and a bit of the family bog in a baggie even! I have to reread this before I start but I think it's going to be high on "the cringe factor" as DD would say. I mean, I was 24 when I wrote it. But it will be great for journaling and figuring out why I took certain pictures. Okay, this got long, but that's what I'm hoping to accomplish today - get started on one of these layouts LOL

I'm free of anything but crafting today! Just finished a load of laundry and that's about it. I am organizing for my April crop.

Anne Marie, I think it's GREAT that you have so much journaling and ephemera from your trip- even if it was in the 90s!!!
I know I sometimes wish I'd taken more note or did more journaling back in the day! (Obviously, MORE pictures but it is what it is!
Looking forward to seeing what all you create!
I LOVE that you have a day for crafting, Vicki!

I took today off from work so I can try to get things caught up around the house and spend some time with Grayson because he is out on spring break this week. Yay for a 4 day weekend!
It's hard to believe that this is the last spring break of middle school! He's got a couple of school trips coming up and auditions for the high school band in a couple of weeks. The band here is very competitive and he is transferring from the county school system to the city school which will be a big change.
Other than getting things done around the house, I've got no plans so I'm hoping to scrap quite a bit this weekend. I've got pictures laid out for several of the challenges - just have to find the time to sit down and get them done...

Hey Cherries
IDK why it's the first day of spring but I've got my heat on! SMH! 43°! DEFINITELY a drop from yesterday!
Well, yesterday I still felt kinda idk this cold! I remembered that I had Musinex so I've been taking that. (The only other cold meds I have are for nighttime! LOL!)
I didn't feel like doing much yesterday. I know I took a little nap but that's about all I did!
I JUST wasn't feeling as well. I'm sure I overdid it Tuesday but oh well! At LEAST I got some things done then!
I got a little bit down last night; Just missed him. I write him letters in my journal and that helps.
Working today at 4. I'll wear my jeans over my leggings since it's a bit chilly.
Stay blessed ,Cherries!

We are both working on travel pages! I'm hoping you go back often. My trip to Ireland was in 1995 and I haven't been back yet. Maybe once we're empty nesters......LOL! Love the page! I think it's great that you do a page a day. Having a completed album (or just finishing off a particular theme/set of pictures) is a great feeling!
Happy Scrapping!

Hey Cherries! Popping in quickly because today is the monthly food bank. I have to drive a big SUV while Steve drives the bigger vehicle so we make sure we have room for everything. I’m not usually very good at driving unfamiliar vehicles. At least I won’t have to park or back up or anything like that!
Once we’re back at the school we have to stay to unload and set up. The school is on spring break so there won’t be all the help we normally would have. There should be at least one other person to help which will be nice.
I finished the layout that’s been sitting on my table since the weekend. Hopefully I can play tonight.
Happy first day of spring! It’s not warm and it’s raining and sunny. We won’t really have spring for another month. Have a great day!

Happy Vernal Equinox aka as Spring here in the northern hemisphere . Cold grey and gloomy so far today.
nothing going on. Haven’t looked at March challenges yet so might do that. Lethargy reigns supreme though so maybe just do nothing all day.
have a terrific Thursday.

Happy Spring! Although it’s cloudy , cool and windy here, too! It says today’s high is 47 and we have reached that.
Quiet day, crafting. Still haven’t found that layout.
Took pictures of my finished layout and now uploading. Sorry, I have quite a few I have finished and am uploading.
Also got my clean clothes folded and put away.

Hi cherries. Taking it easy today. I was quite swollen yesterday and just didn't feel too good either. Woke up this morning, felt better and went on my walk. Once I hit about 22 minutes in (I was only 3 mins away from home), started to feel kind of drained. So I took it slow and made it home. Showered and felt kind of...eh... I threw the towels in the washer and drank my coffee while relaxing in the living room. I worked on the weekly grocery list, clipped digi coupons and planned most of our meals. Got Netflix stuff on in the background. Started work around 10am. Kind of an easy work day today, which is very nice. I've got a semi-busy weekend coming up, so I'm trying to slow down and reserve some of my energy.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Spring day!

It was a very emotional, big-deal trip. My mother came to America when she was 8 and had only been back to Ireland on her honeymoon in 1970 and then with us kids and my dad's sister in 1995. We met lots of family, slept in my great-grandmother's house, visited family plots in cemeteries etc. There was also lots of "craic" (the good times in Gaelic) with the family at the pubs and touristy things. I did break off from the family and went on a bus trip by myself to the neolithic attractions that I was NOT leaving Ireland without seeing - the hill of Tara and Newgrange (a passage tomb older than the pyramids) and I went inside it. But I also remember how nervous I was to come back home through Customs with my baggie of Irish peat bog lol. And yeah the amount of pictures...I mean today we'd take over a 1000 pics on a trip like this. I had 7 rolls of film for 2 weeks. The pics aren't that great but what can you do.JollyHollyScraps wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 10:57 am
